  • Awesome video but where in Los Angeles is this? I cannot find it online, thanks!

  • The historic fleet is stored indoors at the Greyhound terminal garage at 1716 East 7th StreetLos Angeles, CA 90021. It is not open to the general public.

  • I remember back in the early 80s there was a greyhound bus stop in my town of greencastle PA. They used to sell hand dipped ice cream, oh the memories. Thanks

  • @bcarbaugh Thanks!

  • I get a sense you know some "Grey Dog"(Greyhound's nickname among truckers years ago) history. While I have seen toys of the GMC "Fishbowl" bus in Greyhound markings, I can't find any pix of the real thing. Did they ever use that bus in their fleet? I only knew of the Fishbowl as a transit bus, which I was curious. Thanks.

  • @Flatbedkw I am not a transit bus guy at all, but I think Greyhound may have used some fishbowls at the 1964/65 NY World's Fair, and maybe in their West coast commuter service in the late 60s/ 70s. Other transit fans would know way more more on that topic.

  • @pd4501771 Thanks for the info.

  • Nice to see the classics. By the way, what's the name of the song? I've always liked it but never caught the name. I'm referring to the one that starts at :50

  • "Long Hard Ride" by Marshall Tucker Band.

  • @pd4501771 Thank you so much. Loved the video, and I've been enjoying all of your other videos as well. Great job on the restoration.

  • @Flatbedkw Thanks so much. Take care.

  • Where were the old 4104's and we saw no 4105's nor did we see any MC-6's, Greyhound should acquire each one of these unique buses for its historic inventory?

  • I really enjoyed seeing these, brings back memories. More, we want more

  • Thanks for watching. Take care.

  • Thank God for You Tube. Seeing things like this used to be restricted to my memories.

  • Brilliant, thanks.

  • Thank you.

  • Geez you sure seem know a bunch of the Greyhound Bus History, so I gott'a ask ya,, what year did Greyhound stop displaying their Hounds on plaques and the side of the coaches without a pinus?? My Buddy Jack Swisegood in Esclaon(sign collector) has the original side plates with the hounds displaying, as all male hounds do, with a Pinus. So Tom McNally what year was it that , Greyhound took flack from the general Public and found it offense and whacked, sorry deleted the hounds male parts?JD

  • @DeGraefAutoSpecialty Joel, There is really something wrong with you! I do not have an answer for that one. What? What just happened? Later man.

    Tom

  • did these buses have air-conditioning?

  • @jarl44 Probably all but the 1937 model 743 yellow coach, 1931 Mack, and 1914 Hubmobile.

  • yes another adventure

  • @normsofgtawars That's for sure ! Can't get enough !

  • Nice to see we're still maintaining the Historic Fleet over at LAD/LAS.

  • @pd4501771 I do, in the so-called "Ivory Tower" in Dallas.

  • didn't continental trailways use this style of bus also?
