BJ didn't get his nickname of "The Prodigy" because of his mma fighting, he got it because of his insane jiujitsu ability. He went from white belt to black belt in three years(average time is 7-10 years) and shortly after getting his black belt he competed at the world championships and was the first american to win...w/ three years of training, hence the prodigy.

I guess the almost decade long career up to and holding a championship is nothing once you FINALLY age and start to lose. I'll say again, go look at the post-fight faces of the people he fought, INCLUDING Diaz. Special fighter, no 2 ways about it.
