vvv ...what are yousaying autism doesn't need to be cured. do you know what it's like to sit through everyday with your little sister needing to take medication to control her temper tantrums from autism? to see the hurt in her eyes bc she can't tell you what she's feeling or speak her mind for herself? honestly I wish you had ONE day of being autistic you'd think so much differently.

@summmer07 I'm at leat partly autistic and I agree with the person that said communication facilitation is better than curing the person of their very personality. Actually, I think most people in the world, supposedly autistic or not, need communication facilitation and/or communication lessons.

I hate that stupid charity - Autism isn't something that needs curing, it isn't anepidemic! Autism speaks speaks againsed people with autism, not for them!!!!!

@Zamolodchikovafan16 Maybe a prevention. I've been watching videos of different levels of autism. Children with severe autism should have a chance of at least communicate without having to scream or bang their heads on the wall, or something like that.

@akissy I think that their energy should be used on finding a way to let autistic people communicate better and in a non harmful and productive way. Ways to make life easier for people with autism and their families - NOT making out that EVERYTHING about autism is bad. It's a difference I really like the national autistic society.I DON'T like the completely negative impression about EVERYTHING autistic autism speaks gives..
