I was there. After that Navy came over with notre dame to show there respect. Two programs with class. I have been to three ND games and all three have been loses. I dont think I am going back.

Since the last meeting of Navy and ND, two of my USNA classmates have been killed in action. I will always have respect for ND, given the way they behave at the end of the game. Other schools are not so courteous.

POSTSCRIPT: While I'm glad Charlie Weis got credit for his actions here, people seem to ignore the fact that he has done that EVERY YEAR that he has been coach at ND. It does take character to behave like a gentleman in defeat, but it also takes character to behave that way in victory, and Charlie has behaved that way towards us as long as he's been in charge at South Bend. I can't help but feel the attention he got for this act, while certainly well-meaning and well-deserved, sells him short.

I'm glad to see this. Two years ago during the 2005 USC/Notre Dame game I witnessed quite possibly the worst sportsmanship ever from Notre Dame. At one point Notre Dame fans (albiet it probably not alumni) started chanting profanity against the USC Band of all people. That is just terrable. I attended Notre Dame and am glad things are back to the way they should be-respecting the opponets!

You know, I realize I'm now hated by BC fans for calling their fans arrogant, and that my comments can be outlandish. But look at that ND team, after such bitter defeat, out there with the Navy players for their alma mater. ND fans applauded Navy as they walked off the field. I just get mad when ND is disrespected - and I hope this shows why they should not be, win or lose.

That said, congrats to Navy for a hard-fought win. You guys played with a lot of heart and deserved it. Great job.

The best Navy game I've ever seen! Amazing. The players played great but a credit has to be extended to Coach Paul Johnson for his ability to get more-with-less than any coach I've ever seen. Tremendous play calling!

As a Navy fan and sister of a USNA grad, I had the pleasure of being at this game (thanks to my ND grad boyfriend!) I have to say that the Notre Dame fans are some of the most pleasant and respectful I have ever encountered. Throughout the weekend, I heard "Welcome to Notre Dame!"

I love the hospitaltiy at Notre Dame (minus one game in 2005 against USC). I was so embarassed during that game but am glad that things are back to normal.
