DOMA is piece of garbage and un-American. As a veteran, I served for the rights of all US citizens, including gays. I am tired of religious loonies trying to erode freedoms in this country. Thank you Senator for doing the right thing.

Now is the time for the Government to support and protect all citizens, to allow them a fair slice of the "American Pie", and to have equal access to the 1,300+ rights that they are presently denied. As a UK citizen in a relationship with a US citizen we are not only struggling on a personal level dealing with draconian legislation but also in relation to business and asset management too. Now, not tomorrow, is the time for change.

And now the time has come to get rid of it. The federal government should recognize legally-performed marriages of same-sex couples, and not only that, it is time to allow gay and lesbian couple to marry nationwide. It is time to grant EVERYONE in the U.S. the same rights, regardless of sexual orentation.
