Thanks. Very interesting. The only thing is you have to convert the video to avi or you get a giant file. I tried it with an mp4 and it worked fine. I need a free basic mp4 editor.

Figured it out, was some weird setting priority in ffshow.

To use this you need to setup ffdshow, so in the codecs tab (of ffdshow's video config) Avisynth is enabled (set to Avisynth) and you also have to enable Raw Video (all supported formats).

Well, it does make VDub acess the file, but I can't get any output. I can preview the recut file but I can't seem to save it even into uncompressed avi.

THX MAN!!!! It worked awesome for me just installed AviSynth and Haali Media Splitter, wrote the text in the .txt file made it .avs. Then I opened the avs in VirtualDub and my MP4 Video was in Virtualdub!!!!!

Tanks for this great tutorial! The only thing is that I cant append AVI segment (add Video to the video) when I open the avs, but still great tutorial!!!
