2010 I read the book clandestine cause my mother kept it in the cupboard. She said it was beautiful but disturbing. I came to the same recognition.Last week I read it again,now it's standing in my shelf.Then I watched the movie for the first time.Fr.Green Tomatoes and the lovely bones are the only movies I cried while watching.I think about Susie in heaven still alive in a way,but cold and death on earth in a safe. It brings back the tears everytime.Brave Susie Salmon. I think of her everyday

I like it right at the beginning of the book; when she goes on to talk about the snowglobe and the penguin wearing the red and white striped scarf. How she worried that it was trapped and lonely, and how her father said to her: "Don't worry Susie...he's trapped in a perfect world." I thought that was so moving...

think the film was a bit of a let down in the end, particularly considering the amazing cast peter jackson managed to put together. film was a bit disjointed (one sec someone's being killed the next suzie's in transition having a great time). also thought some characters could've been developed a bit better e.g. ray/the girl with black hair. also can you believe the film was a 12A. don't get me wrong, I've heard really great things about the book and there's only so much you can do with a film

I can remember this movie and i was in love by it.

I got my first card so i could see many movies as i wishes. I buyed some nice snacks, you know 'those' special ones you take for a special movie. Not popcorn, but popcorn deluxe;) and some nice drink.

I think my favorite thing about of the movie (I have yet to read the book) is that it didn't contradict any religions. They called the place where Susie was the 'In Between', and they didn't say straight out Purgatory, which, as a Catholic, I do not believe in.

i was disappointed in the movie, there are a lot of differences, but they missed two important parts 1. they didnt show her mom having an affair which happened in the book and Susie posseses her friend so she can have sex with the guy she has always loved. Then after that she returns to heaven.
