Because some person probably took a picture with a camera while someone else found the image online. Light reflecting off the square would probably make it seem more opaque in the photographed image.
Back when I first discovered dubstep, I was really listening to brostep, and I thought to myself, "There's gotta be something that has shaking your house bass!" and I ended up here.
I got into this type of music with Brostep, my friend told me to listen to Skream, and I honestly can't stand brostep anymore. This stuff just sounds so much better.
Has anyone else ever put there balls on a sub when the bass drops in a song? If not don't do it... unless your into that kinda thing. I am not and I totally regret doing it
Hey if you guys wouldn't mind checking out my music I would really appreciate it! Skream definitely influenced me and I would really like it if other dubstep fans would just listen to my stuff and tell me whether its good or not. Thanks!
And guys, stop shitting all over Skrillex. He's not a dubstep artist, and he never claimed to be. If you don't like his music, it's not his fault, he makes music he likes, and hundreds of other people like.
I love how people bag on Skrillex when all he wanted to do was combine Fidget and his own style of Dubstep to create a nice complextro genre. Just because his dubstep doesn't sound like the godfathers of dubstep doesnt mean anything. Dubstep would be shit boring if everything was the same. I like people like Skrillex, Liquid Stranger, and others who create their own unique dubstep sound.
@DJTribulation There is very little production value in anything Skrillex produces. Non-existant basslines, non-complex midrange wobble and transformer noises simply don't constitute dubstep.
Dubstep is pretty much dead anyways, as anyone who is into the scene would tell you. All about the future-garage, funky house and hyperdub these days.
this new generation of listeners know nothing of the old days in garage and dubstep, its so depressing i mean im 18 but i made sure when i first started listening to it i steeped myself in the music of the early days. And after that i became hooked on this type of music, its become a lifestyle to me. I bet if you were to ask these hipster fags who listen to skrillex who skream was they wouldnt know what you were talking about, its just fucking sad.
@DnbDubJunkie Im 17 and hooked to dubstep for not even 1 year and I listen to Skream and Skrillex but Im regarding Skrillex as Brostep or at least another kind of Dubstep. I think you cant compare them (Its like Apples and Bananas. 2 different things). Its possible to like both and appreciate the good things about Skream AND Skrillex.
@DnbDubJunkie What I meant by the previous comment is that hipsters who were into dubstep would hate Skrillex because he is the most mainstream of all dubstep artists. They would prefer "real" dubstep artists like Skream. Hipsters try to steep themselves in the music that is considered "the most real," which gives them indie/hipster cred. Thus, you sound like a hipster making this comment.
@tenaciousE21912 lol well it's whatever u think of it i guess, just know i don't love music the way i do just because it's "popular"..... i don't consider myself anything man only me so um yah why don't you fuck off.
@DnbDubJunkie No need to overreact. I'm not attacking your personal tastes, just trying to clarify what "hipsters" are. The word gets thrown around so much today there's almost no meaning.
@tenaciousE21912 honestly man the whole point i was trying to make with that comment is that i wished music was the way it used to be more so then just everyone hyping over all these brostep artists, i was only using skrillex as an example you see. like the whole dnb and dubstep scene is pretty much non-existent where i live, i wish just once some artists like benton or dj madd or district. upsets me to know that will never happen probably because they get less hype then generic brostep artists.
@DnbDubJunkie You're exactly like me man, 18 years old, love old school dubstep, livin' in a place where there is no dubstep/dnb scene. Hurts don't it? lol
@DnbDubJunkie "new generation of listeners" Geez, does music cycle through that fast?! You're only 18 and this CD has only been out for a year... I think it boils down to better advertisement (a.k.a. selling your soul).
@DnbDubJunkie you shouldn't bash skrillex, you should bash the people who bum over skrillex thinking they are big for listening to him. I think hes a good artist, but i wouldnt categorize him with early artist's such as skream, rusko, borgore and caspa.. This is original garage music/dubstep, the new shit is what all the preppy posh kids listen to now.
@TheChristyBeamish Read my original comment again, i never said skrillex sucked. Although i am bashing the kids that only listen to one artist and one artist alone. I was only using skrillex as an example because some kids who iv'e met and say they listen to dubstep and i ask them who their favorite artists might be, and they say skrillex and can't name anyone else... know what i mean? -__-
@DnbDubJunkie sorry if i read your comment wrong lol, but you do see many people comment on popular videos of skream who think there big by insulting skrillex. Skrillex is a talented artist and he wouldnt be so famous if he wasnt talented. Im not arguing by the way im just speaking to everyone in general :) (Y)
@DnbDubJunkie and then you hav people who consider dubstep to be just people fucking around on computers and dont understand how complicated dubstep really is compared to making music with instruments
Can you explain to me what the problem with brostep versus dubstep is? I mean why do people get so annoyed about it? Personally I'll take Skream over Skrillex any day, but if the guy sitting next to me likes Skrillex better why get upset? Liking Skream doesn't make you cool, nor does liking Led Zeppelin or Lady Gaga or whatever music you listen to, music is about the artist expressing themself (mostly) and the listener enjoying it, isn't it?
@TheHavok644 Very true, it's mostly the fans, rather than the artists who are annoying though. Comments such as "Skrillex is the best dubstep artist like evaaaa" are just annoying when there really is no best artist in any genre.
@VicTheMazdaFan1993 Amen to that, their, hell, our, precious dubstep is no different from rock or rap or hip hop in that there is no "best" artist. Most popular? Yes. Most influential? Debatable. But no "best".
@VicTheMazdaFan1993 Get your mind out of the gutter, people have opinions. To them Skrillex or Skream could be the best artist ever. Are they to you? Maybe not, but does it really matter? No, no it doesn't. If someone thinks Skrillex is the best dupstep artist who are you to say their OPINION is wrong? You can have your opinion about there not being a best artist in any genre, but that doesn't mean it's a fact that there isn't one.
@VicTheMazdaFan1993 "You can have your opinion about there not being a best artist in any genre, but that doesn't mean it's a fact there isn't one" Yeah, no shit you're letting people know your opinion. I also never said you were hating.
@DnbDubJunkie Are we not allowed to listen to both? I've seen so much anger toward Skrillex in comments on Skream's videos. It makes me really sad. I love Skrillex, but I also really enjoy this. It disappoints me that people have to be so elitist instead of just enjoying the music
@bombshellblonde544 Read my other comments down below, you'll see i'm not hating on skrillex but rather the kind of crowd he attracts. In my opinion Skrillex is... descent, i guess... He's definitely not great though.
@DnbDubJunkie I really enjoy listening to his stuff, but music is highly subjective. I know the first time I played dubstep my mom told me it sounded like someone was torturing a computer, and it was the same chill, repetitive, trance-like dubstep in the vein of Skream's stuff. It seems many people don't understand that. I haven't met anybody that likes Skrillex that is unpleasant, but then again, I pretty much stay in my circle of friends.
@bombshellblonde544 I feel you on that one, i don't know many people that listen to it but the people i do know are close friends of mine. We basically just go back and forth letting each other know of great new artists and tunes lol. I had the same reaction from my sister when i first started listening to it because she listened to more soft rock kind of stuff and she said dubstep gave her headaches if she was around it for a long time lol.
@DnbDubJunkie I'm 18 as well bro and I know exactly what you mean. Skream is undoubtedly one of the most definitive and exceptional artists in this genre. The older material and original artists will forever be infinitely more phenomenal and ultimately enjoyable than the new artists of today. Some of the contemporary stuff I really enjoy but nothing, absolutely nothing, no matter how commercially successful or 'filthy' it may be, nothing will ever surpass these utter gods of music.
@DrBawslap Yeah man, like somebody could show me the most grimiest song ever in the universe and i'd still take those chill and dark tracks over it anyday of the week lol. I even like a little bit of filth from time to time, but it's those deep tracks that get to me because they put me in a trance that seems to feel like i'm just floating away from all the craziness of the times ;)
@DnbDubJunkie Too right man, lets just be happy that not too many people listen to Skream, let the so called "Dubstep-lovers" listen to Skrillex, ... People who really are into Dubstep listen to Skream, Coki, Kromestar,...
