i swear some of you are being stupid on purpose. the rule on trabeling is pretty simple to understand and if you need a refresher (most of you do) they have the official rulebook at nba.com
asshole, can you count? he takes two steps then he stops and pivots. It's clearly travelling. Ffs, he could go to china with all that travelling he did.
First of all, learn to write, cause you're almost incomprehensible. Second, learn to use other words than dumbass. Third, learn basket. When you grab the ball and start the 2 steps, you are only allowed to shoot the ball, anyway you can. You aren't allowed to dribble again, you aren't allowed to walk, you aren't allowed to stop.
you guy dont knoe the rules that was nowhere near traveling hakeem used that move all the time back in the days it just players now just want to dunk all the time instead of setting up the defender and scoring on them they want highlights dunks two points is two points man
Young man, this was NOT A TRAVEL. I played all of my life, and i have watched this clip in slow motion. Hawes did a great job of stopping on the pivot. Hakeem was known for it. You have to be open to being wrong, and in THIS one case, you are.
well, you're partially right. he didn't travel because of taking too many steps. he traveled because he took 2 steps and stopped. If he had shot a layup right after taking two steps, it would be ok.
isn't this traveling?

You can only do this after a jump stop, and that wasn't a jump stop, it was a travel.

you cannot pivot after 2 steps. Traveling for FIBA . OK for NBA
japanesexxx 3 years ago 2
Obvious travelling violation by FIBA rules.
He cought the ball and then moved legs RIGHT LEFT RIGHT while holding the ball. -> travelling, by definition.
U CANNOT pivot during 2step move. U people should let him pivot on the first step, too?
Off course, thats NBA, i wouldn't have expected to call that.
r33st4h 3 years ago
He had his right foot on the flor all the time, its not a travel by fiba or nba. Rules for travel are the same whereever u play usa or europe.

Good post and true. Hawes was doing his best "dream shake" on that move. Totally legal...
illy5603 3 years ago
That maybe from your perspective man, but too me he did not.
bball2night 3 years ago 7
to be honest, there is only one perspective if you know the rules. unfortunately nba players travel all the time and refs don't call it.
zeroqrwaskilla 3 years ago
well, some players do travel all the time and they don't call it.... BUT this wasn't
