I was told the same story from Jared. I'm in Camp Baharia right now. I can't wait to leave this place in this month Feb 2009. It looks way disgusting now. All dirt. But the water is still here. And nasty palm trees. Other than that yep its Camp Baharia.
Yeah AKA Dreamland. It was a resort for the Baath party (Saddam's political party).His sons would take women there and rape them and dump their bodies in the lakes there.

This place was really lovely when I was in school before 2003.
after the war I worked with the IIMEF at there and it was just dust everywhere.
