@Exernitron Touhou is a series of "bullet hell" shooting games (named so cause you have to dodge a crap load of bullets). The series of games is all created by one man named ZUN and it's very popular in Japan. Its known for having over 100 characters each with their own unique personality and for the games' incredible music.

I think when you present Touhou to someone, you need to explicitly say it's a remix from a game boss fight, or he won't get the picture. Also, he/she needs to listen more than 10 secs... ¬¬

After that, if he just say the same thing, you can simply kill him... ^^

Touhou. I've seen the art, heard some of the music, played a fan made castlevania inspired game of it, yet, my only actual expereince playing the series is on a pirated copy my friend had. And even then, the game was so epic that it caused the computer to get the blue screen of death (not kidding either).

in addition, there are games that came out in between the others, such as "shoot the bullet" ( there are 2 games in this mini sereis), "Fairy Wars" (based around Cirno.), a Fighting type game (which introduces Suika), and possibly a few others.... there is also the Seihou sereis which Zun helped along between his PC98 games and his modern PC games. it's another shmup.

It's not a manga. It's an indie game series of shoot-em-ups known as Touhou. However, it is popular enough that there are a ton of fan mangas and music remixes running around. This particular one is a fan remix of Phantom Ensemble from the 7th Game, Perfect Cherry Blossom.

BTW, most Touhou fans would probably kill you if you tried to say Touhou was a manga series. ^^.
