  • Yea fuck him May...!

  • Yeah let's troll about goalies cuz Brad May is totally a goalie

  • May early, ;McLeod late.

    Very good scrap WITHOUT WINNEr.

Both connected some good big shots.

Looked like May missed also some shots early on.

  • the wings are retarted, they actually sign an enforcer for the first time in like 10 years (old man mccarty doesnt count) and he starts kicking ass again, but the wings waive him

  • @AnaheimDucks39 Retarted? learn to spell you Southern Californian "Idiote".

  • Kocis a psuedo Bettman era fighter. Talk shit now then name an Aves player outside of Scott Parker that could man up to Kocur, Shanahan or even McCarty.

  • what's with fighting with the visor on all the time mclown.

  • cool story, bro.

  • yeah and you avs fans are some real geniuses.

  • Broduer is better than Roy for sure

  • Comment removed

  • See, now there two intelligent people were having a debate without mindless insults and then your dumbass showed up. I could spit all of your pointless insults right back at your, but I am too smart and too good for that. In short, I am better than you.

    Have a good day.

  • Haha, thats quite the conversation you two are having. GO RED WINGS!!!

  • look at the lady above the m in motor city from :26 to :40

    ... lmao

  • BTW - the greatest goalie of all-time is BRODEUR, not Patty Waaaaaah. But I hear he gives a great head job, like most girls in Denver. Oh yeah, and Sakic wore #19 BECAUSE OF YZERMAN, you idiot. Yzerman is his idol, not the other way around. Get a clue, you dimwitted dolt!

  • Sky Eagle - You're a MORON.

What happened the last time we played you FAGS in the playoffs? SWEEEEEEP!

And it wasn't even close. You sucks were the WORST TEAM in the conference last year, and if you get a few injuries this year, you'll be toast too because you have no depth. Enjoy your short-lived stay at the top, 8 games into the season. Reality will come calling soon, and you'll be right back down where you belong. TOOL!

  • GO AVS!!!! they are gunna kill it this year WATCH!!! fuck the red wings still better dead then red fags

  • pfft how can you get wet by watching a fight i know there fuckin sick but relaly. haha

  • Comment removed

  • You're kidding, right? Make the playoffs and then you can talk.

  • you are so concerned with the past. I told you im talking about the now.. and right now your losing and im winning. And im saying that your team despite all their recent sucess will not make the playoffs this year:) And Roys stats pwn Brodeur when it comes to playoffs. And thats where it all counts baby. Brodeur will not pass Roys playoff wins. And i doubt he will pass his combined either. Which means Roy got more wins:) and Brodeur will never be as great enough said.

  • There is no bigger stage then the Olympics and Roy did not win there.

  • You know what is funny your whole comment is one big contradiction. You say you are talking about now not the past. Yet you bring up the past.

Roy is the most overrated goalie in the history of the NHL.

IMO The best goalie ever is actually a tie between 2. Sawchuck and Dryden.

  • Its not really a big contradiction at all.. There are two conversations going on. First I made a comment on how Colorado is kickin ass and is better then detroit and he starting throwing out comments like we have won this many cups and this many division titles ect. I was saying im not talking about the past because detroit now is not the same team as the detroit that won those cups. But during those comments he made a comment about how colorado has never had good players and then a second

  • debate is now going on. First debate Colorado vs Detroit (Right Now) and second debate Roy vs Brodeur and Sakic vs Yzerman. Not really a contradiction. As for Sawchuck and Dryden I wasnt around to see them play so I cant really say much about that however I still believe that Roy is the greatest of all time. And at least He didnt lead Team Canada to a quarter final failure like Brodeur in his second attempt.

  • You are right Roy never had a shot at that since he couldn't get there.

Roy is nothing compared to Dryden or Sawchuk.

  • couldn't get there? He was offered the job in place of Brodeur in 2002 and he decided not to go. And let`s be honest they would have done just as well (Actually probably better) If he had played. And Roy chose to retire early because he had nothing else to prove. He wasn`t washed up and was certainly still an amazing goaltender. Ps. I already said I dont know much about them but from all the books I have read I`ve been told they can`t hold a candle to Roy. Wings Suck Avs are 10-1-2 :) Go Avs Go

  • Again he did not win in the Olympics the first time there.

You obviously are an idiot. Dryden retired at 32, sawchuk had more shut outs then Roy and in an era with shit equipment.

You are a bias tool with no knowledge outside the Avs history.

Roy was a joke always had an allstar infront of him.

  • well i see that we arn't going to agree so why not just stop the argument. I disagree that I have no knowledge outside of the avs history. Roy won 2 cups in montreal, first in his rookie season and also won the con smyth. And secondly he won with a team that was predicted to come dead last. He pretty much single handedly won that cup. Con Smythe again. Dryden played with an ALL-STAR team in front of him his whole life. And still couldn't get 3 con smythes like good old saint pat.

  • Again Roy played with an allstear team in front of him or are you that stupid?

Well yea you are that stupid and bias and blind.

Just shut up bro because you don't know jack shit.

  • Dryden took home the cup six times with the Habs in 1971, 1973, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979. The first year he only played 6 Regular season games. He won the consmythe that year then won the rookie of the year the following year. He only played 7 full seasons and won six cups.

Sawchuk's records stand for themselves. Roy has the second most wins and no Olympic gold. Marty is a better tender, and Sawchuk and Dryden are both the best too ever play in the crease.

  • Roy has the most wins if you include playoffs and Brodeur will never be able to match that. ps. They may have had shitty equipment but they also played much slower hockey. The players also had shitty equipment, it's impossible to know if they would even be able to keep up in todays game. Roy played in both eras so its clear that he had what it takes!

  • Again Roy did not have what it takes to get Olympic Gold.

Sawhcuk played with out a mask you tool. Of course he would be able to keep up. He played with such little padding he would get welts.

Wake up you are a homer with no clue.

  • I have a hard time finding what is more sad. Your bias or your idiocy.

Roy was great yea but he is nothing. He retired because of the pad rule. He was a baby and a joke in the Olympics.

Marty got gold end of story Roy did not.

Sawchuk died young and still had more shut outs then your boyfriend Roy.

Dryden still had to stop the puck. Roy played for team Canada and could not win gold so that allstart bullshit is just that bullshit.

You Avs fans are priceless. Total morons.

  • @WalkSeeknDestroySell Roy has 4 stanley cups. how many did sawchuck have? Roy also made 63 saves in game 4 of the stanley cup finals in 96'. As well as winning the cup 10 years earlier...who was the last Rookie goaltender to win the cup? and at that he was also the youngest goalie to ever win it at 20 years old.

Sawchuck played 3 more seasons than did Roy...so i'd rule him out. Dryden might have a case though having only played 9 years in the NHL and going 258-57-74. also winning 6 cups.

  • @WalkSeeknDestroySell Sawchuck and Dryden? I loved those two as goaltenders but you obviously don't know shit about goaltending. Roy wasn't "overrated", statistically he's the best goaltender of alltime.

4 cups, the only player to have won the Conn Smythe 3 times, a career 2.54 GAA, a career playoff 2.30 GAA, invented the modern butterfly, has the most combined wins (reg, playoffs), 3 Vezina's, 5 Jenning's, and was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2006, in his first year of eligibility.

  • @WalkSeeknDestroySell LOL, roy was the best ever and i don't like the avs

  • Thank you, you just said that all that matters is the playoffs. I have been waiting for a while for you to say that, and you finally did. You just owned yourself. You are doing fine, right now, in the first ten games of the regular season. All that matters is the playoffs, where the Red Wings own. You don't care about the regular season, right? Neither do the Red Wings. It is clear that it bores them, but when it comes to the playoffs, they win.

Brodeur is still better than Roy.

  • Comment removed

  • umm you need to make the playoffs to be able to be in them my friend;) And right now the Wings arn't even close. And I just ment that the playoffs are the most important. Season is still important but when you look at players you can't just judge on the regular season like you seem to be with Brodeur. Anyway how was your big playoff winning last year? Blew it in the end

  • Wow, I am surprised to see that you came back after ownging yourself so thouroughly. You said that all that matters is the playoffs, so, as I said before, see you in April when THE WINGS matter, and the Aves don't. Unfortunaltley, this is over as I only give Ave's fans one owning per person. Anyway, it appears that you have your hands full with other people looking to own ya.

Anyway, once again, way to own yourself, its been fun, see you in April.

  • so when does my team start losing and your team start getting into a playoff spot?

  • So when do you realize that Avs fans only get one owning per person?

  • Comment removed

  • @4littlebear4

I make no cents? No shit, I make dollars, lots of them. Oh, you probably meant sense, but you are a fucking idiot so you said cents. And what the hell are you talking about own Detroit one time a person? Again, you are a fucking idiot. Like I said before, I pity you.

  • if the av's and the redwings go to the playoffs and face each other the redwings will sweep the Av's just like they did in 08.

  • pretty big if considering the wings won't even make the playoffs;)

  • Hmm...

Avs record vs. Wings in 2008-09:

    3-1

Avs record vs. Wings in 2009-10:

    2-1

    Don't count on it, buddy.

  • took u a while to get the information

  • @CelestialFlameX did u watch the av's and redwings game on the 1st cause i did and guess who won. o and look who is in a playoff spot behind the AV's

  • Comment removed

  • Mcleod killed him... May was dominating most of the beginning but he wasn't landing much at all. Mcleod came back huge and landed a few BIG shots that had May keeling over and spitting out his mouthguard gasping for air. I was at this game. Sooo good best game of my life!! Go AVS Go

  • Killed him? Really? No. Draw. They were both done at the end. You all don't have much to root for in Colorado, do you?

  • LOL!!!! you know it

  • Haha your right. First in the West is really the shits right now. Its a real bummer having to watch two 18 year old kids lighting it up and a goaltender that is playing some of the best hockey in the league. But your right. I wish i was a detroit fan then I could be just like you and enjoying the bottom half of the west and a goaltender that is.. well garbage:)

  • You are aware that the season is only seven games old right now, right? You realize that you didn't even make the playoffs last year, right? You realize that Detroit went to the finals last year, won the cup the year before that, and haven't missed the playoffs in 18 seasons which also happens to be the longest streak in any major sport, right? You realize that many publications vote the Red Wings the best organization in the NHL, right? But 1st place in October is great too...Haha...

  • You said we had nothing to cheer about. Im just telling you what we have to cheer about:) If you want to talk the past then I will tell you that we had the greatest goaltender of all time as well as the greatest clutch player of all time. We won 8 straight division titles (NHL record) and have only missed the playoffs twice in franchise history. But Im talking about right now . Last year our team was riddled with injuries and well as lackluster goal tending (isn't that what you have right now?)

  • Greatest goaltender? You didn't have Brodeur. Most clutch player? You didn't have Steve Yzerman, Gordie Howe, Wayne Gretzky or Mario Lemieux. Only missed the playoffs twice? Not counting the old Quebec days, eh? Yeah, our lacklust goaltender only has three cup rings, two as a starter.

You seem to think that you have lots to cheer about in the first two weeks I guess, you can reply in April when it matters, and the Avalanche don't.

  • Ha brodeur can't touch Roy. Roy has 4 cup rings all as a starter and 1 was his rookie season second his team was predicted for last place. Brodeur is so over rated. Has played for a number 1 team his whole life. 3 conn smythe's (reccord) and Joe sakic always comes through in the clutch most playoff overtime goals. Has an MVP in every possible category. Yzerman doesnt come close. And i will post in April when the Avs are still kickin ass. Ps. Nice goal ozzy let go in O.t last night;) Hes great;)

  • Brodeur didn't have nearly that talent that Roy had around him and he still got the job done. Plus, Marty never cried his way off of a team, like Patty did when things went got tough. Marty got his team to the playoffs every year but two and has won 3 rings, only goalie to have 7 forty win seasons, 4 time vezina winner, ten time allstar, 4 time Jennings winner, Calder Memorial winner, and won an Olympic gold medal(which Roy failed to do in 02 when he demanded to start every game.

  • Brodeur had twice the talent roy had around him. Like i said his second stanley cup in montreal he pretty much single handedly won the cup with a lackluster team. Plus Roy played most of his career in an era where pads wern't the size of tree trunks. And Brodeur has recorded many wins in shootouts which were not around in Roys time. A lot of Roys 131 ties could have been wins. As for records Most NHL playoff games played by a goaltender # Most combined wins by an NHL goaltender 705!

  • Most NHL playoff wins by a goaltender.

Most Conn Smythe Trophy winss. And hes still tied with Brodeur for most playoff shutouts. Roy invented the butterfly (Most commonly used technique in goaltending) As for the Gold medal. Brodeur owes that gold to a certain mr. Joe Sakic! Who was injured in the final game of Roys medal run. Could have made a difference. And if you want to talk about character at least he isnt a pussy like brodeur. Brodeur couldn't win a fight if his life depended on it.

  • Vladislav Tretiak's was the first to use the butterfly style buddy.

Character has nothing to do with fights. Look at what Roy told his son to do. Roy is a cunt great player but a cunt with no character.

  • As for the playoffs. How did Brodeur do when he was matched up against good ol Saint Patrick? He chocked:) Roy wins his fourth Stanley Cup ring:) Now for Joe Sakic. Sakic has the greatest wrist shot of all time. Has the best character in the NHL and is one of the greatest players of all time. Yzerman is good but he is no joe Sakic. Sakic has more points per game, and has the most overtime playoff goals of any player. @ Wings1again Gretzky idolized Gordie Howe does that make Gordie better?

  • Either way detroit will always hate colorado and in turn we will hate you back:) I was at the detroit and colorado game last weekend and it showed me how dirty you detroit fans really are. Throwing shit just because im cheering for a team that came back and kicked your asses:) And congrats Wings1again. You got a sweep. But its 3-3 in all time history. Well see what happens this year:)

  • ps. even with our injured and non-playoff making team we still beat ur asses 3 outa 4 games;)

  • I am not going to lie, I didn't read the novel that you posted. There is a reason that you are limited to 5oo characters. Its like blah blah blah blah blah, dude, he wasn't the best goalie ever, deal with it. Oh and congrats on winning three out of four in the REGULAR SEASON. How did the playoffs go for you? Oh, yeah, sorry. As for the "dirty fans", what exactly did you think was going to happen? That high altitude must have gotten to your head.

  • Well im from around toronto and i've been to a colorado game in toronto and no1 threw shit at me. Fans in toronto like it or not are the most loyal fans in the world. But they arn't ignorant like in detroit. Anyway look forward to whipping ur ass this year, and watching your team miss the playoffs:) ps. Roy > Brodeur, Sakic > Yzerman. End of discussion.

  • Really? How big of a rivalry is there between Toronto and Colorado? What? There isn't one? Huh. You walked into a hornets nest and you're surprised that you got stung. You are an idiot. End of that discussion.

Sakic isn't better than Yzerman, Brodeur is better than Roy. Stop lying to yourself. Looks like you were wrong about that too, the discussion isn't over.

  • wow... surprised you decided to show your face again after another embarrassing defeat. Your team just can't seem to get anything going can they. And it was a hornets nest because everyone in their was pissed that they are cheering for a team that has gone to shit;) I enjoyed getting "Stung" as it was fun to watch all the fans cry piss and moan after another loss for the red and white. Everything Brodeur and Roy went face to face Roy won. Playoffs, he got number one spot on olympic team.

  • Hahaha, going to shit, right. You really don't know much about hockey, do you? Hmm...let me see....The WIngs have made the playoffs in 23 out of the last 25 seasons, including 18 in a row. They have gone to the finals six times and have won four cups in the since '97. They have won the presidents trophy six times since '97. Yeah, ten games into the season is a much better standard to measure a team than 18 years.

Roy led the team to a bronze, Brodeur to the gold with the same players.

  • Brodeur just couldn't cut it but now that Roy is gone he's got the spotlight. He will never match Roy's playoff wins and really thats what counts. Anyway if you want to get serious the way Craig Anderson is playing id take him over brodeur and even Luongo. Anyhow enjoy the rest of your season. Well be seeing you 2 more times. Whip your ass both times to go 4 and 0. And then well be missing you in the playoffs cuz you won't make it:) Best in the West Go Avs Go!

  • Hahahaha, proof that you either don't know hockey or you're the ultimate homer. Brodeur couldn't cut it? Really? He won two of his three cups when Roy was still in the league. Brody won the same amount of games, 551 but he did it 43 games quicker. He has a better all time gga and save %. Brody also leads the all time series 13-12. Yup, he couldn't cut it.

See you in April when it matters, and the Aves don't.

  • Sorry man Roy is not better then Brodeur, Sakic and Yzerman are debatable. Sakic had a team around him for some time while Yzerman was the only offensive player on his team for a long time.

I like Sakic and Yzerman equally both classy captains and great players but Roy and Broduer haha gotta give it to Marty. He won at the olympics. Roy did not.

  • As for Sakic, I give him credit, he was a great player, the only player on the Ave's worth a damn, but he wasn't better than Yzerman. If anything, they were virtually the same player, Yzerman is just smart enough to not stick his hand in a snowblower.

  • Comment removed

  • Huh, you seem to forgot to include examples of what you are talking about. Could it be because you don't have anything because all of my points were backed by stats and all you had was frustrations at not being able to respond intelligently? All you wanted to do was hate on some Red WIngs, well good job, you were successful in that. You were also successful in being an idiot.

    Good day.

  • You have trouble with pragmatics (look it up), don't you? You also have trouble with making living in reality and backing up a statement with factual and or compelling evidence, don't you? Like I said, I am not going to play your little games because that is beneath me.

    Have a good day.

  • ahah 5-1 to the leafs? Need i say more? Those playoffs are looking more and more doubtful;)

  • Sorry I must have confused you somehow, so let me say it slower: Aves...fans...(that...is...you)...only...get...one...owning... per...customer.

Besides, like you said, "All that matters is the playoffs so see you in April when it matters, and the Aves don't.

  • haha you keep saying that but losing to the worst team in the league is not really the right path to the playoffs is it? Looks like during the off season our teams sorta switched roles eh... Bummer;)

  • Doesn't matter, only the playoffs matter, remember?

And no, our teams haven't switched roles. Your team hasn't made the playoffs 18 straight seasons.

  • 3-1;)... ps. it was a good game but u were beaten by better goaltending. pss. good call pulling goalie with 1 second left on powerplay? really? amateur coaching;) 2 and 0 baby

  • killed him???? dude... get real... it was a draw at best and you know what...the old war horse May has still got it... wtg May

  • May started to beg the line refs to step in there at the end he had enough. and ya it wasnt his glove it was his elbow pad but that was a good fight. Also cody got the last laugh in that game he scored 2 goals in the 3rd period

  • Uhhh...no he wasn't. They were both done.

  • 18 seasons?? really holy shit... its really going to hurt then when they miss it this year:(

  • Regular season doesn't matter, remember? Your words, not mine.

PS. If you really think that the Wings aren't going to make the playoffs then you are really just showing your hockey ignorance more than hurting me in any way.

  • o yes i forgot. Well alright see you in April when the Detroit matters and the Avs dont right? but 9th doesnt really cut it for the playoffs hope you guys can start not sucking... cuz id hate for you to miss your 19th season making the playoffs;)

  • i miss the old redwings aves rivalry. those were good times

  • Comment removed

  • Hahaha "Ol' May"

  • Comment removed

  • The old man May was schooling Mcleod most of the fight. Give credit to Mcleod for not being TKO'ed and coming back strong.

  • it was his elbow pad, but nice try

  • Doesn't surprise me that you are a moron and didn't watch the video. It was his elbow pad. Ah, a dumbass.

  • yeah , I just realized it is too. But still we play you again on saturday so lets see how that goes

  • I think this fight was a good one, huge punches are the best

  • may got owned

  • did u watch 75% of the video may won

  • how can you think that.

  • Comment removed

  • Brad May ftw!!!!

  • Solid, nice scrap.

May landed harder but McLeod did enough good comeback for draw-

    DRAW

Its good thing when someone is playing by old-aged i think, have to praises Chelios's career.

  • How can they let anyone wear #24 in Detroit... I can understand when it went to Chelios temporarily as he is a future Hall of Famer, but now it should be retired for Probie!

  • way to go may
