According to Divine he was never paid for his disco recordings, when he pursued his royalties they just told him to fuck off. His attorneys told him it would be too tough to go after them for the money since it wasn't that much anyway, a few thousand. He deserved every penny, he was a hard working entertainer, but that's the way the industry is. I believe in stealing downloads, the main person you are hurting is the record producers, lots of artists make nothing off their recordings.
