The boy returns to his body and is saved (or so we think). His father ends up dying, spiritually. His mother dies. His grandmother, I don't know, the credits roll. Turns out his father suffered from the same thing he did, but instead of fighting it like Renai chose to, his mother Lorraine just put it past her.
