By the Cell games he could barely take a stand against Imperfect Cell while the other Z fighters could at least match up to semi perfect cell. @BigDaddyGaryTheKing Very true. I mean, look at Tien. He knew he was severally out matched against Cell, but he put everything he had into holding him off: and was successful in doing so. And during the Majin Buu series, he at least made some attempt to help out Gohan and Goku when fighting Super Buu. Honestly, I think Tien is likely the strongest -pure- human fighter out there, Krillin being if a VERY close second. Yamcha is just... He can't even be qualified as a "fighter" now.

I have so much respect for Tien it's not even funny. I liked him when he was a bad and guy and I like him as a good guy. Tien did so much for the Z fighters it's not even serious.

Like you stated he stalled Cell from Android 18. He stalled Super Buu from killing Gohan.

He is the strongest pure blooded human fighter period. Screw that ssj get stronger after battle crap. If it wasn't for that. Tien would be stronger then Vegeta and Goku.

I believe, if the saiyan powers weren't introduced, I believe Goku would still be the strongest, but Tien, Vegeta, and Piccolo would all be at the same level, which I think they should have been in the first place (at least in Piccolo's case.)

I think Tien could have been stronger than Goku's if it wasn't for the ssj gets stronger after battle thing. Remeber when Goku first met his brother his power level was 330, Piccolo's was 320 and Tien was around that same area. The only reason Goku's jumped up so high is because he's a sayian. I think if Goku was a pure human Tien would run laps around him. My opionon that is.

I know this is a joke; however it should be mentioned for posterity that Yamcha was not defeated in battle, but by a sneak attack after the fight itself was over.

Of course, Nappa would still have chewed him up.

Another way of looking at things is that if we interpret Puar's words to mean "nobody we have encountered so far will be able to beat him!" - and indeed, Yamcha's strength surpassed that of King Piccolo, Piccolo Jr, Kami (God), Goku, and Radditz.
