@MATANUI720 - It is a crossman. in the past, all of the Umarex brand guns sold in north america were branded as crossman. Mine cleary reads crossman on it and all of the packaging as well as all of the documentation with the pellet gun says crossman. Also, the tile of the video says pellet gun. It also says airsoft because it is related. If you think you know more about my gun than I do, why are you watching this video?
Wait so I wanted to change the style of the grips in the future (if i get this gun), but since one side of the grip pops out for the Co2 access, does that mean I can't really replace the grip? =.=
@PaperChasah - Probably not. I have never been shot with it, nor have I shot anyone with it before so I don't really know. It shoots at 495FPS. I definitley wouldnt want to get hit in the eye with it.
@RapidRAMPAGE245 - I'm not sure where you are located, but these are no longer offered by crosman. Umarex built them originally and they were just branded as crosman. You can check the umarex site
Dear Jimythetulip, I got a quick question. Is it possible to unscrew the grips on the gun? I have a pair of wodden M1911A1 grips and I want to know if the grips can be unscrewed and changed. Thank you.
@MrBlubud - It is a really close replica. I have handled 1911's in the past and to the untrained eye, you would not be able to tell the difference. Personally I think the blued version looks more realistic than my version. Also the weight should also be very close. Please keep in mind, you cannot replace any parts with the real thing. Even the grips will not work. Im not sure if this is why you were asking but I thought I would mention it.
@MrBlubud - It is very close. Most people who are familiar with firearms will know its not real for a couple of reasons. 1)these are popular at shooting ranges 2) the breach on the top of the gun should be stainless, instead its the same as the gun color. 3) A real 1911 would not have that button on the left side of the gun just behind the trigger. (to remove the grip) This looks like the same as some safety mechanisms on rifles, the 1911 does not have this.
@MrPlaystationboy - not even close - to clean it, I just open up the barrel (the way you load it) and I clean whatever I can that way. Usually airsoft guns and pellet guns are a lot more complicated than real guns. I can take apart my 9mm and put it all back together in under a minute. But this gun is not designed to be taken down in the field. Also, you really dont need to take it down to clean it anyway.
very good review, sometimes i watch reviews for know more about the guns, you gived al the important details in 4 minutes. Some people leave 10 min or more to say what you said in 4 min. Very good review
@airgunandgunshooter - Thank you very much! I bought a couple more guns that I will be doing reviews for soon. A Sig Mosquito Sport and a Marlin 795. The videos should be up within a couple of weeks.
@theairgunsource ... - I would definitely recommend it. If you are searching for it online, make sure to search Umarex 1911. Umarex is the company that made the one that I have as well. They just don't make it with the crossman branding anymore. The new ones say Umarex on them.
@sherk429 I don't think you can shoot darts with this one. Usually the ones that fire darts are single shot pistols or rifles. You could probably insert a single dart down the barrel and fire it, but you wouldn't be able to use the rotary magazine. You cannot remove the grip without clicking the button. Why do you ask? You want to replace the grips?
Its true that the gun is made by Umarex as it is made in Germany. However mine says Crossman on it. All of my documentation also says Crossman. It des not say Umarex anywhere. This may be because I purchased it so long ago.
@bravoalphabravo01 It would be if it's old enough. In 2002, Crosman and Umarex had agreements for import and distribution of each other's products. Crosman would handle import and distribution for Umarex guns in North America, and Umarex would import and distribute Crosman guns in Europe. The older Umarex guns sold in North America bore Crosman markings.
For newer ones the guns bear Umarex markings, and the pellet tin is either RWS or Walther.
