.i work for a tow company on Miami Beach. a guy tried this one time being a smart ass thinking he was going to "ruin our day" right behind our business we have a Winn dixie supermarket that has a COINSTAR mnachine. i went out the back door and went inside put it in the COINSTAR and in less than 5 minutes was back with a receipt,the smug expression on his face was wiped off immediately,lol he thought we were gonna spend an hour counting the pennies,lol

@adam3251 if a person is trying to pay a "debt" then yes a company has too legally take the pennies.Its different if you go into a gas station to make a purchase and they refuse... but, when your car is towed, and you "owe" a debt, they have to accept it. At least in my state, also i saw a video where the cops came and made the tow yard accept payment of all pennies not rolled for the guys "debt".

@outlawracer2229 it's easy to say that until you're there and they don't take it, i could've called the state police but i told my dad, in exchange for most of the pennies, that i wouldn't get in any trouble over it, and for some reason if the cops just told me to fuck off with my pennies i probably would've made it a big deal. i was already on probation with LSU at that point so it wasn't worth all that.
