I have this same generator and we use it for our refrigerators when the power goes out and I wanted to know if it makes clean power that's fine for sensitive electronics like a laptop.
@Gman200108 This generator is supposed to make very clean power. The only thing I would recommend is to put a meter on it to check your frequency. As long as you are between 60-61Hz under load (running your fridges) you shouldnt have any issues whatsoever. Just don't let it run out of fuel while equipment is connected as that is really bad for anything plugged into it as well as for the generator itself. If you are not sure how to do this let me know and I will make a video showing how.
@MrShawn305 Thanks for the reply! It ran fine with the two refridgerators running after hurricane irene. It was still at 60HZ under load with the two fridges, some lights, and some fans running so I was fine with using my computer with it. It is a great generator and do you have any idea what kind of oil I should use I know it uses SAE 30 weight normally but what company should I buy from for oil? Thanks!
@Gman200108 Yea its a good unit for sure. You could have ran a couple small (around 5k BTU) window air conditioners as well if you wanted to, I know my 4k unit ran a big 13.5k BTU a/c as well as the side by side fridge, chest freezer, big screen tv, lamps, fans power tools and cell phone chargers, all without breaking a sweat! As for the oil, use a good brand. Regular oil will work, but once you pick a good brand stick with it. I personally believe that if this is a piece of machinery that...
@MrShawn305 you are going to be using during an emergency, and are going to be relying on it to keep lights, and food supplies fresh for long periods of time, you should use good oil and filters, it doesn't take alot of oil so why not use Mobile 1? Napa Gold filters are industrial quality too. I will see if I can get the part number for you I don't think they are more than 5 or 6 dollars for the filters
@Gman200108 its pretty clean, but not honda EU series clean. The only issues I have with my older but nearly the same 7550EXL is when its at 50% of more load it drives my APC power backup's crazy, they switch from battery back to AC many times a second. I run my 60' tv, wifi, microcell, microwaves, direct tv without any issues.
Very interesting, I just got the same one from Lowes that also had a problem with the starter and was returned. I got it for $825 with out the cord or tune up kit. So far it works great.
@ucantstopthis1 Yea its an awesome deal for that price. Does yours sputter at all? Mine sputters, but I think it is just because here in El Paso we are at about 3100 feet of elevation. From what I understand, it is necessary to re-jet at about 3000 feet. Other than that, it is a superb machine, and the OHVI engines can't be beat. Thanks for the comment, I hope you enjoy your machine :D
@MrShawn305 I have the same engine on my older generac, and it does run rich at 1,000 feet. and at 75% load it does make the entire muffler glow bright red. if your area is dust free just run it without the air cleaner and that will clean up the jetting and give you more run time per gallon. but must be 100% dust and leaf free
@Jthumper Unfortunately El Paso is not clean at all. Being in the desert we have constant dust blowing around. I tried it with no air filter, but being at 3000 feet elevation, it still ran rich.
Nice! I too have been able to pick up some 1/2 price items from both Lowes and The Home Depot!

8000 to 12000 Watts for this money make sense . Looks awesome , is not so noisy how I expected . Great deal .

@DonFisenkos Its not too noisy but its louder than your ix2000. But its not too loud for as big as it is.
