What's sad is, this pop was even LOUDER on TV that night. Anybody who has an old tape of this, you can TRULY HEAR how loud that CROWD is. This vid is nice, I love the reminder, but the POP ITSELF can barely be heard compared to the TV version.

The WWF, now and since they began, has targeted kids. They may love the 18-34 demographic, but kids always draw more money thanks to parents. The NWA did it, WCW did it, the AWA did it, and the WWF did it. That's how wrestling works. It's for kids. People who like it as adults just never grew out of it.
you are right but the reason they changed their demographic in 1997 was because they couldn't make money out of the kids anymore(altougth 1995-1996 was shit) business was not good and they hit an all time low on buyrates and ratings in 1996(according to dave meltzer). when austin began to draw Vince Mcmahon saw money in that demographic and he was right. they changed their format and it was the most succesful era in WWE history(Vince mcmahon words)

This is a great pop the only pop of his i think that was better was when he came out to help team wwe against the wcw invasion when he stunnered 7 people and cleared the ring.

I honestly think the loudest pop that Stone Cold ever recieved was in Backlash 2001 when he came out and helped the Rock from the beating he was taking from Triple H, McMahon and the rest of the McMahon gang.
That was a godly pop. This pop was incredible as well I admit.
