Simple? Yes. But dont be mistaken in believing anyone could do it. The point is not to make a complex score put to reach an audience that is tired of the same exact thing. Think about Chuck Berry, who essential played country music that was blended with blues and speed it up, or The Beach Boys who took standard pop songs and added a surf swing. There's also The Stooges who took what other bands were doing around them and spat it out with a stronger attitude. All influental bands in their time
