  • kermit!

  • @Sharkie626 you sound like Kermit the Frog :)

  • @PencilsAre4Paper haha, that's a new one, maybe lower pitched

  • @PencilsAre4Paper thats weird how this whirlpool washer is a three speed washer but does not offer a hand washables cycles sharkie could you please explain. also this washer is the best thing that ever happened to the laundry industry hope that it last you many more years to come. p.s. you will never find another like this they are very rare and did you buy this one brand new. also I dont understand why your dryer has no drum light inside it was extremley high end for its day.

  • @penhouse861 also sharkie the moisture sensing cycle is much better then timed dry just use normal dry for most regular loads and less dry for small or medium sized loades that are not that heavy. But never use the more dry setting it is very unnessessary and will ruin your clothes .

  • @penhouse861 Well, this washer was probably manufactured in 1989, so certainly that many years ago the cycles had different names ;) Also The Handwashables cycles on newer direct drives consists of intermittent Normal Speed agitation, where as this washer does a continuous Low Speed agitation. I have a video of the delicate (Knits Gentle) cycle for this washer if you have not already seen it.

  • @penhouse861 (continued) as for the dryer light, i'm really not sure, but really the dryer doesn't need it, right across from the machines is the window, so we can easily see inside regardless ;)

  • I found out why the washing machine water fill spout was loose, and it was that the spout came out of it's hulls, that holds the thing on!

  • THE ONLY TIME TO USE MORE DRY IS WHEN YOU ARE DRYING A KING SIZE COMFORTER SO THAT THE INSIDE OF THE COMFORTER IS DRY 100% WHEN IS DO THIS YOU INCREASE THE SENSITIVITY IN THE SENSOR TO DRY MUCH LONGER THEN NEEDED. BUT WITH A COMFORTER IT IS NESSESSARY. HOPE THIS HELPS EVERYBODY THAT HAS BEEN USING TIMED DRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @penhouse861 Penhouse, I appreciate these comments, but I ask you kindly to not post them in all caps, it is very unnecessary.

  • THE SENSOR DETERMINES HOW LONG THE CLOTHES SHOULD DRYER. IT FEELS THE MOISTURE IN THE LAUNDRY. WHEN THERE IS NO MORE MOISTURE BEING SENSED THE TIMED ADVANCES THE HEAT IS CUT THEN THE DRYER GOES INTO COOL DOWN SAVING TIME ENERGY AND MONEY!!!!!!!!

  • JUST REMEMBER YOUR DRYER HAS A SENSOR WHICH I WISH MINES HAD USE THE

ASTRICTS ( * ) TO DRY HEAVY LOADS ONLY. NEVER USE MORE DRYE YOU WILL RUIN YOUR LAUNDRY NOT NESSESSARY. USE LESS DRY TO DRY REALLY SMALL LOADS. AND WHEN DRYING A MEDIUM LOAD INCREASE THE TIMER A LITTLE BITE AFTER THE (*) ASTRICTS. YOU SHOULD SEE A BIG DIFFERENCE IN YOUR ELECTRIC PROMISE. NO MORE TIMED DRYING FOR YOU OK!!!!!!!!!

  • SHARKIE DO YOU USE THE SESOR CYCLE MOST PEOPLE DONT KNOW HOW TO AND USE TIMED WHICH IS NOT GOOD AND RUINS YOUR CLOTHES. ALL YOU DO IS SET IT ON THE STAR LOOKS LIKE THIS (*) USE THE STAR FOR HEAVY LOADS ONLY AND NEVER USE MORE DRYER IT IS NOT NESSESSARRY YOU WILL FRY YOUR LAUNDRY. WHEN DRYING SMALL LOADS GO A LITTLE BITE PAST THE (*) STAR AND YOU SHOULD BE FINE. i NEVER USE TIMED DRY RUNS UP YOUR LIGHT BILL REALLY HIGH

  • i have never seen 3 speeds of washing in this washer before i guess i never paid attention to it. But i will tell you something my clothes are just great wash after wash and if anybody says this washer is not gentle and shredds clothes smoke another pipe!!! This is when the made washers to last period best of the best

  • @penhouse861 Indeed. and yeah three-speed is the best, guaranteed care for delicates.

  • also sharkie I never know that my 1990 washer had three speeds but i wish it had a dedicated hand wash cycle which would be great. But when i want to use hand wash I just use permenent press. this whirlpool is the best thing to hit the wash market will never get rid of it

  • WOW THANK U

  • Have you ever use the Kints Gentle cycle??

  • @Kashba777 That's the delicate cycle. ;)

  • @Sharkie626 Ohhh, jajajajaja =) and, please, can you film the soak and pre-wash???

  • @Kashba777 I may consider the prewash, but I will not film the soak. All the soak does is fill, then do nothing for about 7 minutes or so and then a high speed agitation with the usual neutral drain and spin. long story short, it has nothing fancy ;)

  • @Sharkie626 but i want to wach

  • @Kashba777 heh, I appreciate that! But most people who watch that are more than likely gonna skip most of it. Many will probably not even consider it worth watching.

  • @Sharkie626 That washing machine is really a 3-Speed washer ;) I'm not sure of a 2008 500 machine like we have, can we replace the timer into a 3-Speed timer, and a 3-Speed motor too. :D

  • @Kashba777 Also sharkie my dryer matches my whirlpool but it's only a large capacity instead of extra large your dryer has all the bells whistles and a sensor which is nice. but I just don't understand why yours did not come with a drum light inside??? When I had seen my whirlpool dryer it seemed as if the larger capacity smaller hamper door with 2 temperatures came with a 40 Wattt drum light which I love so much the dryer is also a 1990-92 and is also the gentle heat system.

  • @Sharkie626 I am a washer collector and i have both the 1986 fully loaded belt driven kenmore with dual action agitator. and a 1990 direct drive 3 speed whirlpool it is the same exact one you have. However my direct drive whirlpool cleans so much better then my 86 belt driven. And as far as clothes getting shredded some of you people on here don't have common sense when loading a washer. or just don't know how to do laundry period.

  • @penhouse861 I so agree with you on that, almost 22 years now on this machine and NO rips or tears!

  • @RobGwisdala Anytime!

  • Nice permanent press cycle there. Usually the cool down process is 90 seconds. That's how it is on my kenmore.

  • @NVHSChadSheppard1 Yeah, the delay wasn't too bad.

  • @Sharkie626 The first time I used the permanent press cycle in 33 years. It did a pretty good job though

  • If this washer die, buy a new whirlpool ¿no?

  • @Kashba777 If any part of this machine goes bad, I am always gonna ask my parents (since they fully own it) if I can fix it.

I would NOT buy a new Whirlpool because this direct drive model was discontinued just last year and even if it wasn't, you don't get even half the temperature options you got back then.

If all goes well I am gonna keep this machine alive until the day it literally cannot be fixed.

  • @Sharkie626 but if... hmmm.... ok

  • @Kashba777 what did ya want to say?

  • @Sharkie626 nothing important

  • I LOVE your videos because you film all the cycle =D

  • @Kashba777 Well thanks! For vids this long though, I must put the time slots in the video description! ;)

  • @Sharkie626 i see all vídeo =)

  • WooooooooooW!!!!!!!! Taaaaaannnnkkksss =D
