I loved this thing when I was little. You can do it without the profit but I always found it easier with it on my hair type. I bought my current one on eBay $2 for two packs with 2 different sized one's in each

@Paulina98Piano It's really easy. Just make a pony tail wherever you want it. Loosen it up a little...enough to be able to poke your finger through your hair just above the pony tail (meaning "above" where the rubber band is...close to the scalp). Poke up from the bottom. Then you can either "hook" your pony tail with a finger, or use two fingers to grasp the pony tail and pull it down through the hole (toward your neck), and out. Instant topsy tail without the product.
@bjarneboy Well, Paulina98Piano obviously does, since she asked. That's why I gave the directions! And honestly, I'll still do it as a quick, low pony-tail thing on occasion.
just go to my website and i have a video on how to make a topsy tail and it wont cost you anything! i also have many videos on how to do hairdos using my homemade topsy tail!!
I still have mine, but it's without the styling booklet! I can't believe that I found the commercial. It brings back memories! I remember when I was a kid I figured out how to style my ponytail into the "topsy-tail" ponytail before I even had the tool.
haha I ordered that!. I was watching BeetleJuice on TBS. It was the first thing I ever ordered on my own when I memorized my moms credit card info=] tehe!!
@chloeyeo17 you can do it without. Just pull ur hair into a ponytail like shown, and pull the base of the ponytail, before the ponytail holder, into two sections, (ponytail is still in!) then just take the tip of the pony tail and pull it through that part.
This store called FAD was selling the Topsy-Tail back in 1993, and I was asked to be a Topsy-Tail model for a few minutes. I actually bought one, and I was teased at school. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Sadly, I wasn't even born in 1993 (I was born two years later - sigh), but too bad, these actually look pretty cool, low key.
