A "hate group" as defined by Mark Potok and his kind is any organization with a point of view different from that of the SPLC.
And since when did hatred (or "hate") become a universally bad thing? Some people, places, and things are worthy of hatred. Let us not criminalize emotions and points of view. Only conduct should be regulated.

I completely agree that we need fair and appropriate punishment for the criminals of our society. That is a given...
But as you and I both know, it's no longer about the egregious crimes committed against our fellow man. The Government would much sooner detain the entire country, if they so much as speak out against the Obama Agenda (Elitist minion) or in favor of a person like Ron Paul. It's all in the MIAC Report!
