Hi ebmizer, I have rollers and don't have a walk in loft, but U have a great design & birds and I'm gonna make a walk in loft like yours. I was wondering with your loft how do U keep the floor clean from bird droppings ? And how often ? Thanx ebmizer, I'm Mauricio from Los Angeles
I use straw and wood chips , I clean it out about every 2 weeks, sweep it out the door, use a scraper tool on the floor for any stuck, dried poop, sweep that out the door, and throw in some fresh straw and wood chips. Takes a whole 3 to 5 minutes.
@ebmizer Hello there, Thanx for taking the time out of your day to respond to my question, it will be very helpful....Hope U and your birds have a nice day....TTYL
I used to raise show pigeons years ago. I used to use homers as pumpers.I am going to get back into homers just to have a few around the house. I decided to check out some simple loft designs and your video fit the bill, i got some good ideas from it when i design mine. Thank you for posting. Have a blessed day. Rick, Norwalk CA.
Wow your loft is great! I need to expand on mine because it has a few design flaws, mainly my trap door with bobs and it's not tall enough for me to stand up straight.
I only have the trap all the way open when the birds loft fly, then they are on the roof or flying, and can escape, so cats are not a problem then, if I toss the birds, the trap is set to the trap position, and I close the trap when the birds have trapped, which they do, as soon as they get home, and I open the door and close the trap. I do not leave the trap in the trap position,it is open for free flight, or closed if the birds are unattended.
Very nice loft, I need one like that, where did you get tha one from?

Thanks for sharing. Looks nice.
Regarding your trap. I suspect you can close it from the outside, but do you have to go inside the loft to lock it?

yes, it can be shut from the outside, but I lock it from the inside
