That is not martial law. There is no military present but if it is as bad as it sounds maybe they should call in some help. Curfews are necessary from time to time. I have seen several and they did make things safer for innocent people. The police made the right move here.

This Mayor states that the streets belong to the tax payers, not the crooks.... then why are the tax payers being held off of the street's? Arm your citizenry, license them with concealed carry, and clean your street's up while protecting your citizens rights. Although this may not be a true example of martial law, it is an instance where rights are being abused. It is truly Un-American!

Martial law? It's a guy trying to protect his town, stop thinking everybody is corrupt and crazy, and just trying to help their town. "Oh no, I mayor put a curfew into effect! He MUST be imposing martial law! Even though I can still live how I want, speak freely, and live normally within my house, he's taking over the town! Seriously, people, Just because you can't leave your house, it doesn't mean your under martial law. Martial law is dictatorship, mass murders, imprisonment, etc. Not this.

hell i wold like to see them try that in my town. No one will let it happen so they will have to put every one in jail here. We don't like to be kept in the house coz most of us don't have crap just internet thats all i have. so they try it they will not see me in my house coz they can't tell some person to stay in side when they have a dog that kills people. Afghanistan cannot be defeated with technologically advanced armies like the USSR or the US, unless of course you kill civilians off as well to destroy infrastucture,, but a legitamate war cannot defeat the taliban, only mitigate them for a while,, having said that,, how many afghanistans are in the US? many ares would be unwinnable because of,, well, because of hillbillies. So martial law could not work.

First, I'd like to respond to treksterj comment about the crimes of the President. It wouldn't matter if we could get the lawyers or not, considering it's likely the President is going to pardon EVERYONE involved with the Iraq war.
Secondly, there's only one way that I can see to stop what's going on: Stop paying your taxes. They can't throw all of us in jail. Jails are already filled with "dangerous" pot smokers. Either we become sheep like they want, or we fight. Take back our government

It's only going to get worse. In my town, business' are going under right & left. Only thing left is Wal-mart a couple of gas stations & the jail. With a population of 14,000 crime has gone insane. The only crime in America is the polatitions have stolen the wealth of the nation, and are using it to kill 80% of us with it. Being poor and suffering from starvation is not a crime....no matter what they say!
