haha..you guys are funny. You guys can't beat todays Thai army or any other army. Therefore, you keep saying repeatly what happen in the past.Today Than Shwe's army impressive as itsmilitary machine sounds, effectiveness may not match the image. Morale is low in many units. They often have to farm their own food, or requisition from local villages. Training and discipline are wanting in many units, reports of troops stealing, raping and murdering are commonplace. Real Burmese army is long gone

my comments here is UNBIASED towards any faction. Even after assuming tat burmese governement bought all those weapons from Russia and china (with money from selling gas/oil/gems/timber) do u think there will be enough to stop USairforce if US actually is gona come attack? Burma army could have advantage on land only. In naval and airforce, even Russia n China themselves cannot dominate US in terms of numbers and technology level.

Dispite the U.S. having a larger naval and airforce it was crucial enough to stop N. Vietnamese third world forces during the Vietnam war. Even among the heaviest bombartments since WW2 the N. Vietnamese still prevailed in the end.

Burmese Army does not have any of those Tanks and Strikers. Somebody said these pictures ware cut and paste based upon the facts that they got from Wikipedia. Well in that case, anybody can write anything on wikipedia. That is why those information about the wappons must have been written by pro junta. At 2:28 the Striker was made in Myanmar. Really? That isnt Stryker (correct spelling, not Striker as you wrote in comment) from U.S Army. It is BTR 3U from Ukraine. I believe youre not military expert. You couldnt differentiate between Stryker and BTR series from Russia and Ukraine? You need to learn more about Myanmar Armed Forces. There are many articles about Myanmar's BTR 3U apart from wikipedia. You can find and read them.

Basically, it is not as easy as you might think for US to win a conventional war if waged against Myanmar military ofcos thanks to china and Russian technology. US has not no right to be intervening in other countries affair. i dont think military government is good.its the most fked up govt. corruption is everywhere standard of living of ppl is damn low.but US is not as bona fide as you might think they like NLD ASSK cos they dont like china. firstly, these weapons are not produced by EU or America.... apart from G3 and variant versions... mainly Russian and Chinese technology... Myanmar radar system is the best in south east Asia..so it would be hard for air fire power support ...even Raptor is hard to hide in Myanmar's low radar floor. The air defense system will be more efficient if when the military buy S 400 from Russia. A Chinese navy base is in Myanmar and china has got more subs than any nation on earth.

the cost of attacking burma will be ten times worse than what you've seen in Korean war, vietnam war or current iraq war. burmese soldiers don't take to the streets and display show-off gunshots into the air to make hot air and scare the enemy.... they only fire bullets at the enemy to fuck the enemy. there is no such thing call firing into the air to scare ppl off. these are real bullets. if it hits, it kills. and YOU are motherfucker.

I don't personally agree with Iraq War, Iraq War is more costly because those Iraqi Terrorists (ex-soldiers) were a part of the Iraqi Army which had more men, tanks and planes than Myanmar but Myanmar still have a good strenght of men, I think it will take years to conquer all because it's such a big country with jungles as well (not easy to hide from the enemies)

well, UOMB (sorry, such a long name) it's true but because at that time the US Army didn't train in South East Asia like these days (Cobra Gold), in those days, the US men can't really survive in the jungle alone, my uncle who was a US Army soldier was in the war and he had to run away from the Viet Cong for about 4 days non-stop and he didn't have the map as well. That's why a lot of US Soldiers died but if you see, the Thai army men did very well and fought easily coz they are used to the land

our navy is relatively weak.. we have long coastal lines ... air defense is good.. but our fighter jet fleet not big enough for strategic operation its now only for tactical operations only...we should get more Mikoyan Mig 29 .. but there are better versions now like Mig 35... which might be more expensive though... Mig 29 are better then F 16 ..smaller so our pilots have advantage in dog fights... but only 25 Mig 29s in our air force..
