Actually there's a scene at 6 seconds (super quick) where it shows Battler's, George's and Hideoyshi's shadows...And another scene in between 1:03 and 1:04 where Battler just...disappears xD

He hasn't seen everyone in 6 years cause he left to his grandparents (on his dead mom's side) since he got mad that Rudolf got married to Kyrie so fast. I don't think he'd want to see his face after that. xDDDD

Well in my opinion I think that Battler is not the culprit, because in 1:03-1:04 it depicts that Battler is being tortured by the stakes in purgatorio. Sorry for spoiling it.

I also passed through that scene. (Poor Battler...he really has it hard)

But if you also think about it, he was always with somebody (except for the end of ep. 2)

So he might have something to do with the culprit, but he's not the boss, like takano in higurashi

@narutoluver2111 Battler just plain can't be the culprit. It wouldn't make sense with the story. Battler in Purgatory has all of the same knowledge as Battler on Rokkenjima every time, plus anything else Beatrice shows him. Therefore, Battler would know if he were the killer, and would just be able to say "Hey Beatrice, there is no witch, because I did it!" and then he'd immediately win.

@baixiaolang I know this comment is a year old, so you're probably aware of Knox's Decalogue and that they even address in the games that Battler cannot be the culprit, but even still the situation that you set up is really funny in my head.

Beatrice: "Ahaha.wav Dead people, you can't explain that!"

Battler: "Trolol I know how it's a human trick... because I DID IT!"

there is one english patch, but for only the half part of Episode 3... at least 11 of 18 chapters isnt that bad (still loving this video!!!!)
