you know a stage 2 cobalt ss/sc can do mid 13's in the 1/4 mile, the 08 maxima does 14.8 at best, the stage 2 is much faster, it would win even if it gave you a head start

The fact of the matter is simple, cobalt's are faster than Maximas, and if you wanna compete with a car from nissan, your gonna need a much more expensive, RWD car, like a 350, or 370Z. But if you wanna go apples for apples, how about a C6 vs 370Z? Not even a Z06, just a z51! Btw a 370Z, is not that much faster than a Stock Cobalt ss/tc either

it was the stock ss without the supercharger, there are two ss models, the ss and ss/sc, like i said in my other comment, i own an 07 max and an 06 ss/sc, the ss/sc is faster, but the maxima is better in two many ways to count, other than performance

check some 1/4 mile times for the ss/sc, its over half a second quicker through the 1/4 mile than the maximas, and it traps higher, the new maxima is pretty close, but on average slower through the 1/4, its a driver's race with those 2 (for the cobalt)

cobalt is not stock but that max is heavy but theres no way a 205 hp could beat a 255 hp i dont care the weight diff i beat a cobalt ss with a 00 maxima 5 speed both was bone stock and that max has way more than a 00

nope the cobalt is faster stock for stock, i own a 07 maxima an an 06 cobalt ss/sc, the cobalt is under rated, its more like 225-230 at the crank, and it weighs 700+ lbs less than the maxima, i lined them up, raced them side by side, froma dig, and any role, the cobalt wins every time, no its not stock any more so they cant compare

that cobalt was deff not stock my friend has a stock ss s/c and it doesnt make any noticible s/c sounds that cobalt has to be stage 2 = which equals like 240WHP or more and to put the shitty cvt performance on the maxima thats why it lost

otherwise i know a guy that destroyed a ss s/c stage 2 with his 05 5 speed auto maxima with only cold air spacer kit
