  • WE NEED A NEW 'STRIKE GAME!!!!!

  • AHA!!! I could never figure out if Jungle STrike and Desert strike tunes were different. I'm assuming that the DS and JS played above are on European game carts. The ones I've heard that appear to sound the same (although remember JS has that intro) seem to come fromthe American version.

  • @TheSaintST1 NTSC-U versions have different tunes.

  • i used to played desert strike when i was a little kid. and i never knew that they had a jungle strike, and an urban strike until now XD

  • best games ever

  • best games ever

  • Yeeee-haw! USA #1! Let's blow up some towelheads!!11

  • one thing you guys dont understand is that theese games are cool because they are on pixels not fancy 3D graphics... soviet and nuclear strike sucked ass.

if the could REMAKE the EXACT same gameplay and ISOMETRIC view using the latest 3d gfx, now that would probably work out.....

  • Why has noone on youtube done a guitar cover of these? If youtube guitar monkeys want to show their skills then they should try covering these songs!!!

  • These games are classics. I have Urban Strike and Desert Strike. I have played Nuclear Strike. Recently Soviet Strike was released on the NA PSN. These games deserve to be on the Wii VC, PSN and Xbox Live Arcade. Also the series should be revived. If you like next gen and classic game reviews check out my channel.

  • Huh, the desert chopper is green and the jungle chopper is brown, camouflage 101.

  • @Headbanger696

Hey, We dont need camoflauge where we are going

  • Jungle Strike into has "that sound" only a megadrive can do.

  • Jungle Strike's intro is the best of the 3

  • ahh the memories!!! *tear*

  • Its a Shame How hard the snes's spc 700

soundchip raped so hard when they made the music for the snes ports of this amazing trilogy

(P.S Did all E.A SNES games have horible music)

  • The 1st 2 games are better on the AMIGA and I like the 3rd game music on the SEGA best.

  • loved Desert and Jungle themes, dont like Urban that much

also did anyone have problems with the first mission on foot in urban??

  • Oh how I wish they'd make a Strike game for current-gen systems. Can you imagine how awesome it would be? D:

Simple, mindless, blowing-shit-up entertainment. And it feels GOOD.

  • @kiju243 yeah recession strike!! play as a rogue chopper pilot who steals a chopper who blows the shite out of the fuckin banks!!

  • That winning tune seemed to regenerate and metamorphasize!!

  • Very much so. But I prefer the Jungle Strike music a lot more. Brian Schmidt is the best Megadrive music composer - he did Desert Strike, and got better with Jungle Strike, but then they replaced him with someone else for Urban Strike and it just doesn't have that feeling. :(

  • Jungle my fav

  • this was the game i ended more than once on the genesis...

    damn this was really good

  • To me, those are the 3 best Strike games. I didn't like Russian- and Nuclear Strike that much.

  • Any ideas where I can download mp3s of the Desert and Jungle Strike themes?

  • You can use Freecorder, which records sounds from audio played on a web browser. SO if, for example, you were watching a YouTube video of one of the intro's, you could use it to record the audio from it.

  • Thanks for the share.

  • Or download Fusion 3.6, the SEGA emulator, find the ROMs (at coolrom) and press CTRL+W after starting the game to record audio.

  • maaaaan, desert strike was AWESOME. i remember our family trip to york back in the 90s when i found a games shop with shelves of megadrive games...found jungle and urban strike.

what an ace childhood i had. hahaha

  • qué buen juego la p... madre!!!

  • Ahhh man I used to play this so much back in the day!!

  • good games...makes me remember my good old snes

  • Classic

  • Man, how many years has it been since the last Strike game was released? I say it's time for a comeback.

  • only if it's like the first three, none of that 3d stuff.

  • @Okoa Nuclear Strike for the PSOne, more than ten years ago...

  • @Okoa

The helicopter missions in saints row 2 had a real strike feel about them. As soon as i stared them i was like, "damn, we need a new strike game!"

Pity EA will probably just sit on the rights and not let anyone do anything with it.

  • @Kharnivore2099 Really? I've not played Saints Row 2, but it sounds awesome! I'd love to see another Strike game, especially if it had the awesome cutscenes that the PlayStation titles had. Come on EA, make it happen!

  • @Okoa Yeah, we need a break from grunt shooters every now and then.

  • i like desert and urban strike the most

  • those were the coolest games growing up i was so glad when they made EA replay for the psp so i could play them anywhere lol i just wish they would have put in urban strike tho

  • Urban Strike is the best

  • ULTIMATE.

  • another great video, jungle strike best out the 3 although its close with dessert

  • never have seen an apache with a tail fan?

  • HAHAHA the old school EA logo! HOLY SHIT!! I remember that

  • I have desert and jungle, but not urban never played that one.

  • it has it's moments, but it's generally regarded as the weakest of the original three.

  • Personally, I think it's weakest of the entire five. The Mohican chopper design is pretty cool.

  • jungle strike owns!

  • Desert Had teh best music..Urban Worst, ruined teh theme =[

  • i agree entirely!

  • I agree too! desert/jungle strike music really had the best music...then when it came to urban strike music, it totally changed it (it ruined it)

    Jungle strike ftw! :D

  • Most totally radical intro music ever.

  • Jungle and Urban were the best.
