  • The question is when to replace CIOs that want to look IT savy, but fail.

  • There is new stuff coming out every month it seems, soon it will be replaced every 10 mins...

  • I am wondering how Intel IT handles all different versions of AMT within their enterprise. Standardisation is TCO reduction. Managing such a hybrid (AMT) environment is expensive. I prefer a full refresh every period as we do; only one image, one type of hardware - one set of problems

Last but not least, lot of enterprises looking for device independent services. This will change the complete picture. Focus on your application/desktop delivery instead of the device it should be running on.

  • Don't fully agree. The refresh rate currently is getting shorter. Strange that Intel itself is doing it every 4 years. They are putting so much innovative technology in their machines that an ROI could be positive after two years. Look at vPro. Currently at AMT 6.0 (6 versions in 2 yrs); remote KVM! Or WiMax, WiDi. Also Microsoft is refreshing their OS every year, and the days of a PI with 512 MB memory are definitely over; more and more resources are required.

  • Macs are used by people that can't use a PC, not to make fun of anyone but PCs can do anything a Mac can do and more , but it is also true that it is rather hard using the PC to do certain things compared to Macs(but make no mistake PCs CAN do them, just not easily)

  • This minute, get a MAC!!!

  • Why get a mac if a PC can do anynhting a mac do and more?

  • Not true. Can a PC be a Mac? Or run a Mac Program? Legally? With a Mac you can do both PC and Mac tasks (as well as Linux. Furthermore, a stock Mac product is more powerful than any stock PC product (dollar to dollar).

  • "a stock Mac product is more powerful than any stock PC product"

Also a lot more expensive. But if you want a good machine you build one not stock product. Also if you get an intel cpu you can also run Mac OS. Nowadays there's not much difference between two.

  • This is why I used the word 'Legally'. You CAN run Mac OSX on a PC illegally, but not as efficiently because there are glitches on the patches.

I also wrote "dollar to dollar" meaning that a stock PC upgraded to the specifications "dollar to dollar" of a stock Mac, then the Mac would still win by hardware alone.

If you disagree, that is perfectly fine. I own a Sony Vaio also. Let me know why and how you disagree.

  • Omg, fail a mac an run Windshit. and mac doesn't and even + linux, it can even do more than a windows. failed abortion
