If you're thinking about upgrading to win 7 Ultimate, DON'T!!  I did and have had nothing but problems. Screen position was set about 1 1/2 inches from bottom (makes it extremely difficult to close programs and use web browser. Still have about 25% voice volume (all other sounds are fine) Can no longer watch downloaded vids in full screen (square in middle of screen) FuQ Bill Gates

i have a dell xpsm1710 when it installs windows updates it "freezes at creating a restore point" the hdd led stays on but the hdd does nothind....just a sound that is repeating on and on every time it repeats it sounds exactly the same...HEEEEEEELLLPPPP PLS!!!!!!!

I found Freeze fix ,steps. start. right click(my computer)property's. Advance Tab. Settings( performance).Visual Affects processor,mem usage,and virtual memory. Advance tab. click Change (Virtual Memory). Customs Size (Initial Side 4000). Maximum size ( 4000). click set. Ok. you might have to restart your computer. this will help every thing to load faster. let me know you that fixed your freeze troubles.good luck

@camboy1132 . i had a power failur. at home the other dayand the computer got turned off while i was playing GTA IV when i turned it on. the windows wouldnt start. it got to the page where u chose the account. and when u pressed the account u want it didnt start it just stalled. when i put the pc in safe mode it ran perfectly, even after few recoverys it still wont start. do u know what's wrong?
