the easiest way to tell marine from army from distance is the MARPAT and the ACU. MARPAT was first designed by the Marines, the army took the design and recolored it, the ACU is good for urban areas, and certain times of the day, also come in one color, gray. The MARPAT comes in desert and woodland colors, pretty good for most enviroments and most times of the day.....i just felt like sharing this...something i read, makes alota sense.

@km first off I joined the reserves. You can join when you are sixteen and regular at seventeen. And the Americans I was with said things and dissed each other constantly but we all new we were joking so I always joke about them.

I've met many american and brit soldiers overseas, all good people and we sometimes have a good laugh at people who say that there military will destroy the others military etc....WE WORK TOGETHER!

They are very good pepole, when my father went in Afghanistan with emergency, (a no profit organization) a time they have finish the blood for the surgeon operation, and the italian soldier came in the hospital and donerà his blood. lol Canadian have lots of troops in Afgan. they used to kinda suck but they are real stepping up their game (fun fact: the longest comfermed kill was taken by a Canadian sniper) and No Im not Canadian or Swiss either. From Fort Dix New Jersey to you.

@X46RAPTOR . No. We served and we stayed until politicians said leave. We did the job as best we could. It is a different land and people there. It does not function like ours does. We did not convert or make any major changes which remained long after we were pulled out. Iraq and Afgan situations are the same. We will make a dent and leave somewhere down the road. At least we made a dent, for a while.

the ACU pattern distorts human shape where the DCU of old didnt the main dif why the marines have desert is patrols and forward positions where the army ia constantly in cities and populated areas where the greys and shapes help lol i didnt get it at first either

the easiest way to tell marine from army from distance is the MARPAT and the ACU. MARPAT was first designed by the Marines, the army took the design and recolored it, the ACU is good for urban areas, and certain times of the day, also come in one color, gray. The MARPAT comes in desert and woodland colors, pretty good for most enviroments and most times of the day.....i just felt like sharing this...something i read, makes alota sense.
