  • Thanks for the tutorial. When I go to my text tool and hover over the created path it doesn't "see" it which results in my not being able to type in the circle. I have an older version (7.0) is this why, or am I doing something wrong? Thanks again!

  • @RangePurePK scale it. dude.

  • @kritta21 Huh ?

    I'm new at Ps.

    =D

    Thanks anyway.

  • @RangePurePK

use the move tool to select the text, the move tool also allows you to scale object up and down (if you are using CS5 make sure the "show transform controls" box is checked (top toolbar). So then you can just scale it down until it fits in the circle.

  • @AnisDanish19 Same here... Maybe we have an older version or something... My cursor doesn't change either... :(

  • to get the text inside the circle get the selection tool (above the ellipse tool) and then select the text and drag it inside the circle. you might need two different circles and text if you're trying to do half inside and the other outside. thumbs up so others can see

  • Great tutorial, thanks!

  • @Allexxx96Reloaded

  • I don't like the way PS won't preview the rotation when rotating text like you would an image. So weird. Why is that??

  • find a better place to post you videos, you tube lags too much

  • how do you remove the pen tool line after you typed in a costom path?

  • thank you.

    very useful

  • how do you flip the text so the text reads inwards, instead of outwards round the circle?

  • @yougotashovel use the Path Selection Tool (hotkey is 'A'), when you hover over the text it will give you an icon that enables you to move the text and flip it over the path so it is the right way up.

  • @yougotashovel Just click the "Path Selection Tool" and flip the text. (move the cursor to your text and notice the little arrow right next to the " T " letter. Done.

  • @MrBadgerrat

    i agree

  • Please, how do I add the path button to my circle marquee tool? Thanks!

  • @eddrocha

You don't, you use the shape tool which is the "U" key on the English version up to PS CS3 as far as I recall.

  • useful thanx

  • @blkguyjusttryn kinda interessted in this also

  • @blkguyjusttryn kinda interessted in this also

  • @blkguyjusttryn Im pretty shure if you press CTRL T then you can rotate it.

  • @blkguyjusttryn use the pen selection tool and play around with it

  • @blkguyjusttryn try the Rotate Canvas... make sure the bottom half text is in a new layer.. go to Image-Rotate Canvas..
