Damn.... I did love this music 10 or something years ago, until one day when I understood there were far better genres (God bless America and its music).. I grew up, the music trends alternated, new bands appeared and some older ones still rock (like Metallica, Ozzy, Skid Row, Bon Jovi). Only these power metal children keep on producing this... Did they stop growing up? Boring, unemotional, badly recorded. Reminds me of the worst Iron Maiden songs

I had never heard of them until someone told me I 'just had to' listen to Avantasia which had come up on their Pandora or something. That was ten months ago, and I'm still hooked. Pretty sure I got stuck on this stuff way worse than they did. There are plenty of other bands/musicians that I like, but Avantasia is the only thing I've found with the longevity that I simply don't get tired of it, no matter how many times I listen.
