You gotta give this guy more credit. In 1989, while filming he was diagnosed with leukemia while fliming. Although he suffered major relapse despite long chemotherapy treatments, he never gave up. After a long turmoil, he finally improved his health and went back to acting.

Ken Watanabe was SCREWED out of the Academy Award for BEST supporting actor. How could Tim Robbins role in Mystic River be a better acting job? It's because he's Asian that he got robbed. Oh well, it took Denzel 20 years of GREAT acting to get a much deserved Oscar, guess it'll take 20 more for great Asian actors to get their due.

he's my ideal man.. hahaha i'm only 19 yrs old but i really like guys with a strong personality like him...he's so gorgeous in his own simple way. and aside from that he acted so well in last samurai and memories of geisha actually i appreciate him rather than tom cruise in the movie last samurai..i really like the way he act and deliver his dialogue on that movie... hopefully someday he will receive an award in hollywood cause for sure he deserve it.
