@timbov123 The point of the card were he saw her face, is because thats when he realizes that he made a mistake for gambiling and cheating on his wife, and realizes that she is the only girl in his heart.

@upcomingsongs I realize the point you were trying to make, its just that the metaphor is weak. Its reads too much like a literal statement. And when you analyze it, it doesn't make sense. "The picture on that card looked just like her face". There is no picture on a ace. How about "The best card you can pull, but all I saw was her face" Then it becomes a metaphor. The high of gambling juxtaposed against the low of losing your one and only.
