I've been using the 10-13-17-26-36-46 D'Addario setup for some time now, actually.

Never tried a .009 though, I'd like to see what thats all about sometime.

@ZaKaTaKofSteel dont waste your time on using 9s they suck balls 10 or 11 is the only way to go if u use 9s and tune it down at all they get pretty loose

@harvickfan82479 you can control the tension of strings of any gauge ...and should your neck has to be set up to a specific gauge to be right.

Yeah, it can....especially if youre trying to get rid of feedback when using a distortion pedal to boost your amp.
