  • I have a question regarding the tracking information. In my project i need to track the window of a car's door getting opened. I thought the best way of doing this was using mocha for AE. After i've tracked the fotage using the x-spline tool I need to reposition some of the points, due to a person passing by the window misleading the points. When I export the tracking data to my null in AE I get the tracking information from BEFORE I repositioned the tracking points.

    Thankful for getting help!

  • @jaffep How did you reposition the points? You need to use the AdjustTrack module to do this properly, otherwise it assumes that you are just tracking another part of the plane.

  • @o0curiousturtle0o Thanks! That seems to be it. Though I realized that repositioning in that many frames doesnt look very good in the result. Is there any way of tracking the door/window getting opened despite the fact that the tracking will be misled by reflections or a person walking by? I'm new to Mocha and find it very useful so I would like to learn more of it.

  • @Aurora0Lights You can easily delete points by selecting them and hitting Delete. And add points by using the Point Insertion tool (Black arrow with a white plus sign next to it).

Points can also be disabled and enabled with keyframes, by right-clicking on the points and selecting Activate/Deactivate.

Sorry it took a while to reply - didn't get a notification from YouTube like I normally do.

  • What if you have Mocha for After Effects CS4? Is there still a way to render out?

  • @TheLoneMusketeer You have to have mochaShape to use the spline as a mask. Or you can import the project into Mocha or mocha Pro and render out.

The mochaShape plug-in is the easiest way though! If you put the money towards the AE upgrade, the shape plug-in comes included with CS5.

  • gracias

  • I don't have Render... in the File menu. Why???

  • @IvicaM1 You're probably using Mocha for After Effects and not the regular mocha. It's not a problem if you have CS5 or the mochaShape plugin. Just export the shape and paste it into After Effects. It works in exactly the same way, and no intermediate render!

  • Thanks man.

  • Perfecto Thanks man

  • @AdamKerow Hola amigo por seacaso tienes tutoriales de mocha en español?

  • @explorador26 No soy español, pero tal vez si google "Mocha español tutorial", entonces usted podría conseguir algo.
