What if everyone sent a Christmas card to their local politican, if you live in a place with BSL in place, with a note asking for an end to BSL, maybe that would help? Loads of people send Christmas cards, still, and if everyone sent one, just one, and got their families and friends to each send one, at a time of year when you're already sending things, it's not even an extra trip to the post office. It's just the price of a stamp. And it could save lives.

Okay, I am sitting here crying. You are right. The laws need to be changed. I had a neighbor who had a pit bull. She LOVED coming over to play with my pups and my kids. We had a doggie door installed in our fence so she could come over more often. The animal control found out about her and they came to do the measurements. She passed as she had gianed weight. :) She was lucky. Thank you for making this video. It touches my heart.
My staffy cross lab was taken away from me for 4 months, until I could prove he wasn't a pit bull. He went there the soppiest, sweetest dog, came back a skinny nervous wreck.

I have shared this in every group and site I am in - this crazy stupid unjust law has to be put into the trash where it belongs - not just here in the UK, but everywhere ! I think that every politician that supports BSL should have to visit a kill center and meet the people who's dogs have been so cruelly snatched from them to see what this law really does - what a wakeup that would be for them - I would hope !

Please get rid of a law that can legally seize a dog from it's loving family just because it LOOKS a certain way! How can we say this is just? - how can we explain to the children of these family's that this is fair? Just the other day I was watching a program on TV and witnessed a beautiful silver pit bull put to sleep just for the simple fact that the shelter she was in was too crowded and they "knew" she wouldn't be adopted b/c of her breed. I cried for HOURS after seeing that. I am SO thankful that in my town we are still allowed to own Pit Bulls, I would be heartbroken if my sweet puppy was taken from me just cause of her breed. :( Great video!

Let’s hope the government listen to what we've been saying for years and repeal BSL. Attacks have increased by nearly 50% nationally under this stupid law and the police have wasted millions of tax payers’ money enforcing it. We should follow Calgary’s (Canada) example, their dog by-laws and educational programs have lead to huge reductions in dog bites and that’s without any form of BSL.
I have a pit myself :) Most lovable dog I have ever come across in my life. And without hesitation I would lay my life down for her, as I know she would for me. There is no love like a dog's love! :) May more people open their hearts and minds to reality and see that BSL is garbage and unjust.

Okay, I am sitting here crying. You are right. The laws need to be changed. I had a neighbor who had a pit bull. She LOVED coming over to play with my pups and my kids. We had a doggie door installed in our fence so she could come over more often. The animal control found out about her and they came to do the measurements. She passed as she had gianed weight. :) She was lucky. Thank you for making this video. It touches my heart.

My staffy cross lab was taken away from me for 4 months, until I could prove he wasn't a pit bull. He went there the soppiest, sweetest dog, came back a skinny nervous wreck.
I hate how they can do this. I've met a few actual pit bulls, lovely dogs.

I have shared this in every group and site I am in - this crazy stupid unjust law has to be put into the trash where it belongs - not just here in the UK, but everywhere ! I think that every politician that supports BSL should have to visit a kill center and meet the people who's dogs have been so cruelly snatched from them to see what this law really does - what a wakeup that would be for them - I would hope !

I have to agree with the comments above - these irresponsible law makers are out there making laws to protect us from these dangerous dogs (NOT), when they really should be protecting the animals and us from the dangerous people out there. The impact of this video is being felt far and wide, keep up the good work, people are talking about it, sharing it and above all realising that we all have to speak up if we want this law changed, and for the dogs that are being killed because of it, it must be changed! Banning and killing animals because of what they look like is the most ridiculous law in the world, and the UK should have no part in this dark ages culling. Hopefully the message will reach those that require reminders of what bringing peace to others entails. Tolerance is paramount in understanding that pointing fingers and selecting which lives are spared and those that are doomed can not be tolerated. A paradox that leads to suffering and elitism of the worst kind. To sentence a living being to death is, not on in any sense. It does not matter how responsible you are as a owner, how well trained and docile your family pet is On-Scario can go into your home and TAKE your family pet and KILL it. This is EVERY short haired medium sized dog without papers. If you have a MUTT you are subject to warrantless entry and REVERSE ONUS in this dog forsaken province. This is SO wrong. Now our dogs CANNOT defend themselves, their owners or their homes and a playful PUPPY nip IS now MANDATED as a DESTRUCTION ORDER. Insane!

Just the other day I was watching a program on TV and witnessed a beautiful silver pit bull put to sleep just for the simple fact that the shelter she was in was too crowded and they "knew" she wouldn't be adopted b/c of her breed. I cried for HOURS after seeing that. I am SO thankful that in my town we are still allowed to own Pit Bulls, I would be heartbroken if my sweet puppy was taken from me just cause of her breed. :( Great video!

Let’s hope the government listen to what we've been saying for years and repeal BSL. Attacks have increased by nearly 50% nationally under this stupid law and the police have wasted millions of tax payers’ money enforcing it. We should follow Calgary’s (Canada) example, their dog by-laws and educational programs have lead to huge reductions in dog bites and that’s without any form of BSL.
