I know, they haven't changed. REPUBLICANS pushed for Civil Rights in 1957 under Eisenhower, DEMOCRATS stood against it. In 1964 the Civil Rights act that passed with JFK as president but the DEMS still stood against it. Democrats have always stood against civil rights right up until the 60s, Conservatives have always stood up for it from 1776 to present. Republicans stood up against raising minorities above whites and against reparations, so the liberals said they were racist.
