@Grayx7 All Jay's verses r from the head and he puts em out sounding legit so imaging if he actually tried he could of murdered any body. If u play ball with MJ (jay-z) u would trie so hard to impress him, Thats what lupe did
@fbgm956 Your tellin the truth. see Jay been doin this for years and he make all his CD's off his head, He dont have to try anymore just to do what he need too do. I love Lupe Fnf, He is a true rep of HipHop, Coldest flows now n days if even ever. But Jay know he's the Sifu(Teacher) and Lupe is the Student.
I was the youngest of four/Pop couldnt take it no more/stay together for the kids they couldn't fake it no more/ left me naked in the streets they had to take me of course/not only made me a man it made me a boss/ the world chico maybe its yours.... bars bars bars, good post (even though its a fakeout)
Lupe is authentic, everything he is saying in this song is true; it is sad he is not acknowledged more for talent. He is one of the best from Chicago.
Jay was not originally on this track. His verse was manually added by whatever fakemeout computer dj that spliced the two songs. Jay had a remix of this track as well.
"cuz they was really FOLKS lookin for someone to jump on"
Gay-Z? This dude is way sicker than Camel Face, too bad you have to bow down to "Supposedly the King of Hip-Hop". Smart dude, he knows if he disses Jay-Z, half of America will not listen to him no matter how fresh he is...thats the industry sadly
no Lupe is good friends with Jay-Z. The industry doesn't hold him back. His first album was co-executively produced by Jay, by Lupe's choice, who had to work through corporate and record label laws to produce an album not on his own label.
Not only that, but on the song Hurt Me Soul he does take a swipe at Jay-Z (as discrete as it was). He is not held back, don't be fooled rook.
Jay-Z is nice, but I don't think he belonged on this track. This track is basically about Chicago gangs and Chicago gang violence, they should've gotten Common or Twista to be on this track with Lupe instead of Jay-Z.
And there is a certain joy of being an MC that Lupe has brought back to the game. Its like back in the day, when dudes just like to freestyle and didn't expect anything from it, just trying to have fun. I feel that vibe from Lupe, like he is one of those guys that does stuff because he wants to do it and because its fun to him. I think Hip-Hop/Rap has kind of lost that spirit and Lupe is one of the MC's trying to bring it back.
Its always good when you have a humble, conscientious person, who just happens to be an MC who knows about the world, its issues, and how his music is affecting his environment and the world around him. That is pretty much the kind of MC Lupe has come to be. Its like a breath of fresh air to have such an MC because most of these dudes are caught up in themselves and don't take the time to see how their music is affecting the people around them or the world. Even Jay and Kanye can be like that.
I see what your saying and I agree that all of these MCs are just regular people. They are no different than people you may see everyday. They are just good at what they do, just like how Wayne is good at what he does, even Soulja Boy is good at what he does. They all are just different people with different ways of approaching what they do. They are all successful in my book. The cool thing about Lupe or Nas is that they don't claim to be great, they let their music speak for itself.
Yeah, those two need to get on something together, but I have noticed that with all of the featured Lupe has on his CD, there is not very many and if there is, its either gonna be somebody from FNF (Matthew Santos, GemStones, Nikki Jean, Bishop G, Sarah Green) or somebody like Kid Cudi, someone who is not well known, kinda from the underground scene. He usually does leave one featured slot open for a well known artist. For instance, on Lasers he says there will be a spot for Bun B of UGK.
forced 2 drop the forks or you got 2 run home or you gotta run n e way after u drop the forks cuz they were really folks lookin 4 somebody 2 jump on thats how the chi niggas do
Hate me if you must but Lupe has one of the sickest flows out there. It's just nasty. Another group with some beasty ass flows are The Cool Kids. And Kanye got nasty swag with flow too. Check 'em out
jay z saying he sold so much. guess he didn't have anything else left to sell so he sold his soul.

Nas is just another person.... Not a king or nothing. Lupe is a man that is good at what he does, so is nas and jay-z.
But i hate it when people treat them like there so "great".
