  • What a pussy tactic. Fireballs! End of story.

  • fag

  • music is awful

  • what SONG please tell me some one

  • love the caps

  • Lol, what's the name of this song? I like it for some odd reason, nice hype song.

  • Easy money for daigo. Will be the same end result this year as well!

  • justin wong sucks

  • how does he throw out fireballs so fast after each other?? is he doing like LPfireball to MPfireball or something?!?

  • @Phofox

You can throw a new fireball after the other one is gone. The game only allows you to have 1 fireball from you on the screen. The rest is practicing.

  • dangerous ryu

  • Fat, cocky and ugly mofo vs the legend daigo lol....and to ppl who think by doing fireball all day u can win...try it...and see how u get own. It takes skill to use it well...

  • @Pu55yTamer: Right you are..unless the person is playing Sagat, lol.

  • lol justin looked like he wanted to throw his stick when he lost.

  • I don't mind Daigo winning third matches with his shoto spam because at least in that game every single fighter has a way around it...But I just personally feel that its lame that after all these years that they gave into fanboy complaints and went back to a spam friendly fighting system.

  • @mcspoons spam friendly fighting system lol what are you going on about?

  • @mcspoons what are u talking about?

  • You do what you gotta do to win. Period.

  • ur a noob if u cant do anything about hadouken spammers

  • He's using Balrog...Ryu will never loose to Balrog if the player are of equal skill...Justin must hate projectile spam or have some kind of code, because he should of matched Daigo's shoto spam with another projectile spammer...Or at least a character with a move specifically designed to counter projectiles.

  • Yup, Daigo cockmasters are irrelevant.

  • you know what it was THE BOOOOORINGEST mach ive ever seen in sf4!

im a daigo fan but that was truly wack of him..did u guys see how many fuckin hadooooookens that dood threw at justine? comon man have a lil dignity in sf ur not suposed to be a cheep puss that throws hadookens all day jus to win a mach u gota go out and show ur skills mayn..show of amazin combos of ryu..it was the worst display of an awsome mach

  • HAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAH!

  • That's all Daigo ever does though, spam those fireballs all day. I've always thought he sucked personally.

  • id like to see this guy fight Umehara, then say that to his face after.

  • @TheChris3495 you don't know shit about this game on high level

  • @TheChris3495

You're completely missing the point of what fireballs are supposed to do--to keep distance and space. Trying to show off flashy combos DO NOT equate to skill--period.

Fireballs have always been integral to the way Ryu plays, and have been that way since Super Turbo.

  • looks liek daigo gave him a taste of his own turtle style.

  • daigo is the best

  • worse quality ever

  • justin sucks rofl .....go diago

  • Evo 2004 anyone?

  • Yeah, that's why he's regularly sat there and you're at home wiping your spotty ass with newspaper wishing you could afford a TE stick that you'll never even be able to use properly!

By saying shit like that you're actually putting yourself in place.

If he sucks then that must mean you barely have the mental ability to even hit a button... which shows in your brainless comment.

  • daigo is a prodigy

  • worst commentary ever ur not funny never make another video and ill forgive you

  • whats up with all the dumb pop up comments :/

you lost some stars for that

  • LOL more like wuts up with rating vids on youtube...HAHAH wut a faggot

  • @someguyhunter They might have been to make up for the bad quality of the video.

  • @songokussj3 really? replying to 8 month old post?

  • @someguyhunter Yup.

  • Let's get one thing straight. Justin Wong has in that head of his one of the best MvC2 teams [correct me if I'm wrong, but Daigo never played it], one of the best CvS2 characaters, one of the best SF3 players, and now the best American player at SFIV who can rep like a dozen people and still compete with the best Japan has, even though they've had the game longer. Yeah, he does suck...

  • hahahaha eat dust justin...go train harder loser...u know u wont stink so much even if u had 3 eyes and double your size if u had a smaller mouth and a less cocky attitude...but o well americans have attitude problems rofl...so go home and fk yourself...get ready to lose to daigo again in 2010 rofl.

  • Fact: Daigo plays even better when there isn't a crowd of people watching and cheering.

  • super true

But you have to give someone like justin props, to always talk shit, and not a second later get his ass handed to him, and mocked......but for justin to come back everytime and not get phased

I derno about you but everytime i get my foot in my mouth, i feel hella stupid

Justin gets his foot in his mouth but he takes it and comes back.......

    Still no excuse though haha

  • @version1rock ROFL

  • can u beat daigo? probably not so yea... Justin placed 2nd at EVO 09, where were you? Im not being a fanboy, but this just pisses me off, you should also in your own words, "go home and fk yourself..." and get some skill you stupid flamer

  • Camping with FireBall ? It's Justin who camp, not with Fireballs but, look some other fight and ou will see ..

  • Don't forget the training you've had untill now! Get up and fight again. Nice comment of Daigo.

  • nice musik... name please Q_Q

  • Song Name / Artist Please? Thank you. Nice video also.

  • why are you watching this?

  • lol if u think spamming fireballs is for noobs you should try it out and see how many you can win

  • Whether you win spamming fireballs or not it's still lame. Daigo has had his ass handed to him when he went up against good akuma players like Momochi and Fujino because akuma is fast enough and has the moves to counter that shit.

  • Comment removed

  • @Son37Lumiere

Everyone has moves to counter a hadoken. It's how you apply those moves in your play style. Daigo, Momochi and Fujino are all great players, and there's a reason Daigo is top in Japan, and it isn't because he "spams" fireballs. Daigo knows how to use hadokens, and does it well.

If that were the case, mostly every Ryu player on PSN, XBL would be top.

  • Knows how to use fireballs? If you an spell you own name you know how to use fireballs.

  • Comment removed

  • Justin loser and daigo The Beast

  • justin's still a great player. he got second in at evo. that's gotta mean something

  • apparently to all these horrible players and also daigo fanboys, it doesn't. That just pisses me off, they BOTH played a GREAT game right???

  • Soon as it was done they ran lmao.

  • maybe he just sucks in MvsC2

  • are you serious? we still don't have a good quality vid of this on youtube yet?

  • what a bunch of whinny kids...

that match was awesome! daigo has excellent mastery over offense and defense. those fireballs are meant to ticked you off, like jabs and rabbit punches.

  • thought Ryu sucked.

  • You would lose anyways. Yeah, he throw a lot of fireballs, can't get around it? You suck.

  • You're sorry.

  • ...wow...you are sucha Whiner. get out if you cant take it, Babygurl.

  • no offense but justin doesn't stand a chance against daigo at all!

  • really?

Justin Wong wins first set 3-2, giving Daigo his first loss of the tournament

Daigo Umehara (Ryu) [2-0] Justin Wong (Abel)

Daigo Umehara (Ryu) [0-2] Justin Wong (Balrog)

Daigo Umehara (Ryu) [0-2] Justin Wong (Balrog)

Daigo Umehara (Ryu) [2-1] Justin Wong (Balrog)

Daigo Umehara (Ryu) [1-2] Justin Wong (Balrog)

  • what i meant was that who was the winner in the end? wasn't it daigo though?

  • yeh, in the end daigo won - i was simply pointing out to you Justin did win 1 set ( and lost 2) and thruought the entire tournament the only person to give diago a loss was justinwong.

  • i know you dont understand this but: daigo es #1 justin es una mierda!

  • lol.. i could use a cheese burger or 2 lol

  • finally, this is the proof that justin wong is a scrub

  • lol. because scrubs get to national championships, explaining why obviously someone of your caliber isnt there.

  • Taking second place at evo, and pusing Daigo to the final match is proof of being a scrub?

    Messed up definition.

  • yours anotations are anoying, and the quality is horrible

  • toxicfishtk if you hate sf4 why would you watch this video....lol

  • Comment removed

  • Ist that great?

BTW... tekken 6 sucks balls hard!

  • I know right? real fghting games are about memorizing long, stupid inputs and practicing them until you can mindlessly land them.

Who needs strategy? It's not like daigo had to be careful with the fireballs, and was zoning or anything.

    Retard.

  • So your saying you could beat daigo in SF4? Because its soooo easy to memorize chains and inputs? OOoookaaaayyy.

    Stop hating your life!

I will say BlazBlue is a fun game though, but it isn't SF4.

  • I'm being sarcastic....Doesn't transfer to internet well?

I'm saying daigo was zoning, and that's where his real skill lies.

Memorizing long combos do not = win.

  • lol, my bad. I didn't pick up on your sarcasm...sorta hard to pick it up when everything is typed out. I do agree with you definitely.

  • Fireballs / Hadokens got many advantages, plus if it's there use it!

  • RACIST Comments! Get out of here. Channel Owner report kenmastersmaster!

  • Muaurhaurhuarh! LOL! I love you and I know you want it!

  • u rove me rong tyme?

  • look at you! you don't know how to counter that. That's why I love you. I can do you so good! I know you want it.

  • get off my dick faggot

  • Yeah, it's my turn. I am gonna put it into you now. Muahruhar! I love it. We understand each other.

  • I'm not black n not tryin to start anything but santhrax is a great mvc2 player u sayin dat is just ignorance not only that but 4 someone who's talkin crap about jwong or santhrax.... can u represent america can u even beat santhrax can u even make it out of ur pool at evo... i dont recall seeing u there these guys wrk hard 2 get where they're at so they deserve some respect

  • I wouldn't call Justin trash... but I would call him a douche. a fat douche. Why is he a douche? Take a look at his actions when he manages to win a round. He celebrates as if he actually beat someone. Why is he fat? Probably his diet.

  • noob

  • youre making an argument... on a topic you have no particular knowledge whatsoever... and youre saying streetfigher requires mindless move inputs and strategy less thinking... youre barking on the wrong tree... idiot

  • ?

I've been arguing the exact opposite of that forever.

  • i think justin should have used chung lee intstead.

  • cool background music where is it from?

  • Was pretty much one-sided.

  • Thank you! I knew about the 70% split, but I couldn't find out how many participants there were.

  • i meant hit u up* but yea i already sent u a friends request tho hope to play u soon

  • LoL, Step your game up. ont like the zoning? Get better and learn how to get around it. That seperates the losers (you) and the Pwners.

  • I'll hit you up as soon as I can. Warning you in advance about my modem. Hopefully it's a non issue.

On a lighter note, I use Bison. No fireball zoning from me.

  • its all about winning, nuff said

people can talk smack all day, but in the end we're not the ones in evo 09

  • but really i would have to say justin wong is way better then daigo will ever be. atleast justin can do some ownage combos and all daigo can do is hadoken an shoryuken like every other noob ryu ken an akuma player. all akuma's good for is spamming from the air and teleporting away, ken with his super cheap over excesive damged combos like crossup target combo heavy shoryuken, and ryu is fuckin wack cus everyone spams u to get u to jump so they can do lp shoryuken ultra and break combo with FDFP

  • Justin Wong is a great player (but lost to Daigo... twice), hence the reason why Daigo can't clown him w/ amazing combos. A good player isn't gonna let their opponent do redic combos on them

  • Look up daigo vs wong at the gamestop finals at tell me daigo can't do good combos.

He doesn't do them here because zoning is less risky, and will win easier. The goal of the game is to WIN.

This isn't guitar hero. You don't win with a combo point bonus. This is Street fighter. You win by having more life at time out, or KOing the opponent.

  • its not zoning if ur opponet is to far for u to counter act them if they make a move, its only possible to zone from mid range. cant do it from close cuz then ur opponet can counter u an u cant do it from far cuz u cant counter them.

  • spammin is a far ranged game an honestly its a bitch tactic. an i understand where ur coming from about the whole tournament thing an wanting to win but come on have some fun an show off a lil skill dont be a bitch an spam. i would rather go watch paint dry then watch someone spamming but anyway i think i will hit u man its good to be able to share opions and have disagreement without someone taking it the wrong way like if im coming at them

  • Who is a better player, the spammer, or the person that dies to spam?

Winning is the only way to see how skilled someone is. And considering how hard it is to zone for an entire round like diago did (ONE MISTAKE and balrog makes a comeback), it's wrong to say he didn't show skill.

  • Zoning is about controlling the opponent, and keeping them from their best range.

This match is a textbook example. Balrog wants to get in close on ryu, because outside of mid range there's nothing balrog can do. Because of this, ryu wants to keep balrog at that range as long as possible.

The idea that zoning is a one range tactic is absurd. Zoning is done at ALL ranges.

  • Lovely post My dude. To Zone as long as Diago did shows patient and skill. Something i was force to work on in my later years. Justin tried to use Balrog to get a edge and got his ass whupped instead of playing i original game. With all due respect to Justin that was kinda lame to me.

    Zone Coaster Baby!!!

    Zoning = Controlling

Only rookies don't understand this logic.

  • Shh

  • ?????????

  • He wasn't spamming fireballs.

Notice how he NEVER threw a fireball when Justin had a Back Charge due to his ability to EX Dash through them. Notice how Justin TRIED to do this several times, and got horribly punished because Daigo was expecting it every time he had a back charge.

Daigo wasn't spamming, he knew when to throw and how to counter, more than you will ever learn.

  • He's not playing to impress you, he's playing to win.

  • Why? You don't see anyone in the NFL saying, let's not just win, let's be creative!. Four yards in a cloud of dust translates into if he can't stop it, keep hitting him. Daigo is the man.

  • A "W" is still a "W"...no matter what

  • it's not as simple as just "fireballs" it's called zoning. there's no one else out there can that dash out hado's like him so comfortably. and if you haven't seen him defeat opponents creatively then clearly you haven't watched enough videos of him to say anything.

  • i agree. A win is a win at that level of play. The people that complain will never be where j wong and daigo already are and cant understand where they will be.

  • I don't see how people can complain about Daego or Wongs tactics. This is a tournament to win, not to show off new combos, or see how many ppl you can impress.

  • i would concider it like that, if i was to goto a tournament i would try an show off my skills not show everyone how cheap i can be to win some plaque or trophy an act like im amazing. u see daigo got a trophy but not becuz he was good but cuz he was cheap now he can go around sayin "oh yeah i own this guy in this tournament i was combo'in him like crazy thats how i got this trophy" but if u watch this vid it clearly show him spammin not combo'in skillfull way to win i dont think so.

  • If a player truly has skill, he won't use "cheap" as an excuse.

There's a time and a season for everything. And I think when you're at the EVO finals, it's about WINNING. I'm sure Daigo did/can do crazy combos. And who wants to lose a tournament to a "cheap" player cause you were "trying to show off"???

  • Winning is the only way to tell who is the best at playing.

Combos mean nothing if you can't land them.

  • but 2nd ur right an wrong bout the zoning an spamming, obviously spammin plays a big part in zoning so i dont get how its not the same thing to a certain degree. its one thing to keep ur opponet a certain distance so no matter wat ur opponet does u can see it comin an have a chance to counter thats zoning but to keep wildly an excusive attackin with fireballs from a distance is concider spammin cuz ur not really zoning them out anymore cuz the enemy is to far

  • they win CASH at evo.

I think the prize for the SF4 tourney was 1000?

If you place highly in multiple tourneys (like, for example, wong and daigo here), you can easily walk home with nearly 3 grand

  • all i really gotta say is that they both sux. i said it before an ill say it again daigo just spams fireballs with noob starter chars who take 0% skills to use and justin wong at least he pick chars the require some skills but he just plays the running game like wat most akuma players do, he basically trys to fight from far with non spamming char an then backs up. (ex: he uses rufus crouchin HP) that was just a example but im try to say he uses normal attack that can be use from far.

  • If they both suck, then go to evo yourself and win the prize. It's CASH MONEYZ, you know.

And if you trounce daigo, you'll be called best on the planet, pretty much.

Hit me up on XBL for practice, if my crappy modem decides to work (Protip: Comcast cable broadband SUCKS).

    Gamertag: PandamanX64

  • you're wasting too much time on this noob man..

  • so i heard you can enter text in those gray boxes.

  • honestly im not sayin im better then any of them but from watchin them play, they actually suck. all daigo ever does is spam, and justin always plays like he has a charge charater no matter who he has. some call it skilld others tactics, i call it being fuckin cheap.

  • they may be the smartest street fighter players but not the mosted skilled

  • What's the difference?

Daigo used fireballs to zone properly, and not give wong a free jump in. That takes skill, and was learned over countless games.

What counts as skill to you?

  • oh i dont know maybe a 7 or 8 hit combo not just fireballs over an over i dont see how zoning someone takes skills all u have to do is keep the other person away far enough so they can hit u but close enough so if they jump in u can counter then backup an do it again cuz i mean its a simple concept to zone someone out, i have seen people who have never touch a fightin game before pick up the controller and start tryin to zone me out.

  • Combos are not an indication of skill. The skill in fighting games lies entirely with setting up those combos to land, and putting yourself in the position to use them effectively. Positioning >>>> Combos.

As far as fireball spam goes, If you're any good at SF, you're going to be hard as HELL to zone out, especially if the opponent is playing someone good at closing the gap like balrog. Spamming IS NOT zoning.

  • an also he wasnt really even tryin to zone him out he was honestly just spamming him. he shot 26 1st rnd + 14 the 2nd for a total of 40 fireballs come on now thats really over using it. an i dont know about ur skills either or ur smarts u think zonin takes countless games to learn 1st anyone can do it when 1st playing and these guys have been playin there whole lives so no matter wat fightin game there playin they can do it.

  • PROPER zoning is very different than some noob learning how to shoot fireballs and dragon punches.

A noob's zoning will let you get a free jump in/ FADC throw/ other invulnerable move on them to take control of the match. And once your in, the lowly noob probably won't be able to get out and zone again.

GOOD zoning requires knowledge of all ranges, options, and normals, so you keep your opponent's options limited, and should they fail, they know how to reset the board all over again.

  • ur right an wrong about the combo thing.

1st it takes alot of skills to be able to do combo but if u cant get in to do it, then its pretty much useless

  • this is the TRUTH right here...listen up!

  • why are u even wasting your time explaining to this noob about zoning? he will never understand. he obviously think if you can perform 10+ combos, you're hella good..

  • yep keeping your opponent at a distance unable to get in to do damaging combos while doing chipping away your opponent waiting for an opening is cheap. They should blindly be running in and doing random jump ins trying to pull off huge combo's only to get punished more often

  • you need more practice. spoken like a true noob. Who really wants to be flashy in a tourny anyway? not me.. I can shit here and pull 7-10+ combos all day long... am i good? probably not.. is Daigo good? hell yeah.. if you knew anything about ryu, that's how he's meant to be played.

  • flowchart

  • epic fail from srucby-kraiden3 guys

  • I think that was some hardcore hadoken spam.

  • Its called zoning idiot.

  • noob..

  • Daigo is just too much.

  • justin wong is a great player dont hate him so much. its just that daigo is beast

  • Justin Wong is crap. Enough said. He should stick to eating cheeseburgers and playing smash bros instead.

  • 2nd place or not, he's trash.

  • Baseless? Ya sure, whatever makes you happy.

  • He snagged second, and placed highest in the country in this tourney.

How 'trash' does that make him, exactly?

I don't understand why people hate wong so much. It's not like losing to daigo is an uncommon phenomenon.

  • You wanna know how 'trash' Justin Wong really is, go look it up and figure it out yourself. I have not the time nor the patience to waste explaining myself. Begone.

  • If you have the time to respond, and the time to call justin trash in the first place, you have the time to explain why he's trash. Saying he's trash without saying why is kind of a trash thing to do in the first place.

  • I was just thinking to myself: whatever personality issues people may have with Wong, it can't take away the fact that, yes, he actually knows how to play fighting games very well, for all his (perceived?) arrogance. I know my ass definitely wouldn't talk shit, he'd hand me that REAL quick.

  • Looks like Daigo won another US home game disguised as a tourney. We have yet to see a US player win a major Japanese game tourney played in the arcades the way it's supposed to be played.

  • Right on!!!! that shit won't happen anytime soon my friend. Wo don't have the kind of healthy gaming enviroment they share in Japan. just is a top US player in SF4 in the states but in Japan he probably goes unrank in top 10. counter picking won't get you anywhere if you choose not to face adversity with your main character. To me the just show what kind of player you are.

  • For the ones who say that Justin ios better for picking other character aside from shoto or any fireball-thrower, Ryu is no trade mark for Daigo, anyone can pick those ones, if Justin picks a different character is he choice buecause he think he is better with those ones, as for Daigo to pick Ryu or anyone else.

So, don't complain, and don't try to justify Justin for his character choise. You muste give credit to Daigo for picking the right character for him and squeezing all of it's potencial.
