@rockgirl2wildfire What do you mean "the original"? Freddie is the original singer of this song. He wrote it in 1979 as a tribute to Elvis Presley.

@ClassicRawkk Really? I never heard anybody say that Elvis was the one that did this song first. You are right about it being attributed to him by Mr. Freddie, though. I always imagined this song being sung by Elvis in my head.

@hitcan79 Uh, I already said that I was referring to the original track done by the BAND. I never said that Elvis sung it first. I don't know where people get this impression that I said Elvis sung it first. Clearly, he didn't, but it's ATTRIBUTED to the style established by Elvis. Obviously, Freddie penned this song with Elvis in mind. He was trying to mimic Elvis's style. It's a tasty, rollicking ode to '50's Rock & Roll. :D

Shit my bad. ya I agree with ya 100%, I think he really liked Elvis, I saw him sing an Elvis song or two while on stage.. sorry I misunderstood, And he did a great job writing this song right down to mimicing the style, you can really tell it's got that 50's rock style in it, sorry again man...

This is a GREAT performance. Freddy is, imo, the best front man in music history. He was talented, knew how to work the stage, and truly connected with the audiance. Didn't matter if they were playing to 10 people or 100,000 people. Great band.
