Man I hate potholes. In a car it was a bumpy ride and very annoying, or even a loss of a tire. On a bike it means a biker injury almost every time! There's gotta be some way to keep this from happening. :( It's hard to ride when your afraid of snagging a pothole and highsiding every time you ride!

I live in the Washington DC suburbs and the potholes are a killer. I ride a 50cc Honda Ruckus scooter and a 280cc Vespa GTS 300 Super Scooter. I have owned the Honda almost 2 years and the Vespa Almost a year. All I do when I see a pothole or crack is go slow or go around it. Never crashed once because a pothole.

Do you have crash bobbins? They'll save your fearing and can stop you getting pulled long by the bike if going fast enough. I put them on my bikes for just these reasons.

yea i was going likie 20-40mph when i fell its still fast....i was angry cause i fell and the damage and scared to be run over really....embarassed ehhh...i don't have frame sliders but i have been considering them seriously...i may get some soon when and if i get my fairings in..

I think that is just one of the extra buildings around it. I believe the actual tower is still being held back by lack of co-op between builder and property owner.

Also that is one way to do a barrel roll...

sorry that is indeed the freedom tower..confirmed by the construction crew to me....and you can see it in the shape of the iron work because it's got a distinct shape that kinda fans inward

We give signals and and such for objects and obsticals in the road. so nobody gets hurt.... I think any group ride should be conducted this way...

oh we do that....we do foot pointing.....i was just in a bad position...cause it looked like it was just a patch on the road to me....and when i realized that it was a pothole...it was way too late...i couldn't go to the opposite lane...and i was going into a curve...so i had to hope to make it out ok

yea I'm ok...I was wearing jeans and the copper rivet from my jeans ripped my thigh up..scuffed knee and forearm...thank god for my gear...it would have been a lot worse..I'm waiting to see if i can get a stock turn signal somewhere so i can get back on the road
