I'm not sure if heat was involved for this tutorial but you need to heat (not cook) the mixture to ensure the ingredients are completely blended together. In addition, I would leave out the essential oil, especially something as strong and herbal as rosemary; EOs are not really needed for this treatment.

LOL @ the faces. im glad you did this review of using less oils, my oils seem to do the trick too. i never heard of the caramel treatment until now. i follow your blog now too

@Nitra813 Thanks for following :) But I am going to stick to my oils in my conditioner, because if the reason why this recipe did not work for me is because I used too little oil, then its really the oil doing all the work and the molasses and banana are a messy additive that I can do without.
