Your idea of training is "herpa derp let me go to the da gym and lift weights for 60 minutes today so i can have 22 inch arms herpa derp". I'd love for you to run into someone like me, who not only trains in your single minded fashion, but also trains like this and to fight. Put your money where your mouth is.

    you are so far off it's pathetic. i have my own gym, and it's for power lifting and dinosaur training, something you know nothing about. where do you get the idea i'm some sort of mirror junky body builder? i think body building workouts and measuring arms is a waste of time. i never play music in my gym, i concentrate totally on the lift. i never have spotters. i do no-no-no workouts. look it up on strongman and power lifting sites, maybe you' ll learn something.

  • @utterbeastage Yup. His back SHOULD be straight up throughout that exercise. And there should be a small bounce that is basically a small squat, like how you would do a push press.

  • i've always thought that good form is the most important part of weight lifting/exercise in general...

  • it is to a certain extent to avoid injury. However, at minute 5:00 he goes into specifics about this type of training not being for bodybuilders but for fighters. Sometimes fights end up in unconventional situations where the norm just doesn't cut it.

  • if your building muscle that is, which the majority of mma fighters do not need to do

    1) When fighters train in the gym there's always a strength phase where the use of heavy weights in the vicinity of 85-100% of their 1 rep max involved.

    2) Poor form (aside from being dangerous) promotes muscles imbalances which in turn make the probability of injury much greater.

    3) injury prevention is one of the biggest parts of a good S&C program.

    4) the only time they do lighter workouts/more cardio is in the few weeks b4 a fight.

  • cool video...i think strength and conditioning coaches get a certain percentage of the fighters earnings...15-20 or something like that...im not totally sure thats just a good guess

  • this guy doesnt do fighters... he helps get them conditioning hes not a manager or coach! he trains them fitness wise! and helps withlike sport players hes like a personal trainer! he probably has his own little gym business and charges by the hour!

  • the normal strength conditioning coach not much, but this guy probably banks because he trains some of the best ufc fighters and they pay a lot to get this best training they can. he probably owns his own gym too, but i dont know
