This performance of this piece is the best on the Internet - better than that of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, if that is possible. Combination of energy, precision, dynamics and of course the boy soprano voices which are superb!

Oui, c'est vrai ! Mais les voix d'enfants apportent toujours une "fraîcheur" que n'ont pas les voix de femmes. Puis le King's College, c'est vraiment de la qualité et un des meilleurs choeurs du monde ! Le Tabernacle aussi, mais c'est le nombre de choristes qui impressionne.

Yes, I agree with you about the boy voices - I think that Bach and Handel used them, probably for the same reason you mention. I listened to the version you put up with the French choir - très bon aussi. It's fun to hear the regional accents that the French and German choirs put on the English lyrics.
