@fehrarce Mengele was in fact very evil. He actually volunteered to stand at the head of the "selektion" line and decide who lived in the camp and worked, and who went to the gas chambers. He was a brutal, insane, murderer, not even remotely a "doctor". He was never captured and tried for his crimes, one of the worst tragedies of WW II. @clintonearlwalker thanks for the info. what happended with him? If he was not captured, not even judged on the nuremberg trails, what happended? he commited suicide? escaped to Argentina? Just ranaway? I really like WW II and Nazi themes.

@fehrarce Mengele reportedly escaped to South America he was hunted but never captured. The most common story I've heard is that he drowned after a heart attack while swimming in Argentina in 1979. This is the common belief of many, however, there has never been iron clad proof of what happened to him that I know of. Certainly some Nazi's escaped to South America. Adolph Eichmann was captured there and brought to Israel in 1961, tried and hung.
