They thought they had AK-47's, and while that doesn't sound like enough to engage, once they thought they saw an RPG they really didn't have a choice. Mistakes happen even in war, the problem was that this was covered up, when it should have been announced, reparations should have been made, and new protocols put in place for the future. Still too unsure about this. A couple of reason. I do see guys with guns in the video, the soldiers also know what guns or rpgs look like too. Maybe those cameramen who were supposely the men the video says they were, were taken by those men with guns. Also, if they are indeed *knowingly* killing civilians, then they wouldn't take pictures and record it.
