mixed marriages generally work. i guess its cos both parties make concentrated efforts to make it work? i dunno, but the perceived cultural clash doesn't really complicate matters a great deal. this probably doesn't even qualify as a mixed cultural marriage, if the dude is born and brought up there.

It's a shame that reality doesn't have a special twist to make something so special as an engagement or marriage entertaining.
